Hey sythe, here is my cooking guide

Location​

My personal Recommendation is at rouges den, it has a permanent fire going there and a banker,

How To Get There​

The fastest way to get to Rouges Den is via a Combat bracelet, Teleport to the Warriors Guild then walk east.

What To Wear?​

Cooking Gauntlets are a MUST HAVE for when you are training this skill otherwise you will have to wait more levels until you can cook without burning

What To Cook?​

• Level 1-30
  
  
  
  Anything you find really, but i prefer crayfish as they are a quick and easy 30xp each
  
  Amount needed = 446 crayfish, but to be on the safe side buy 600 to prepare for the amount of burning at lower levels
  
• Level 30-58
  
  Trout are good/quick xp and even better MAKE you money instead of the usual loss that comes with training skills
  
  Amount needed = 3016 trout, id recommend about 3150 trout to allow for burning
  
• Level 58-63
  
  Salmon, now at level 58 you DO NOT burn any more salmon so your safe to buy just the amount needed
  
  Amount Needed: 1602 Salmon
  
• Level 63-81
  
  Tuna, this is probably the most boring and longest part on your way to 99 cooking, it takes forever and is very annoying but stick with it!!!!
  
  Tuna Needed: 18,243
  
• Level 81-90
  
  Swordfish don't get burnt after level 81 cooking so your good to cook these without any risk of that
  
  Swordfish Needed: 22,526
• Level 90-94
  
  Now for the monkfish, probably one of the more interesting ones cause it comes with good xp an hour lol
  
  Needed Monkfish: 17,322
  
• Level 94-99
  
  Now for the famous Rocktail, you will burn a very very small amount from 94 onwards
  
  Rocktail needed: 22,622, although id reccomend probably another 100-200 more incase of burns
  

 

Good guide Stui but if you want any constructive criticism I would sugest adding just a little bit of information about cooking gauntlets because it seems that your information of when you don't burn the fish is when you are wearing cooking gauntlets.

 

I suggest 68-81 to be done using lobsters since it's faster and that's the way I got it in 1-2 days.

 

Lots of detail missed out.

No one knows if the levels you should cook the fish you posted should be with or without cooking gauntlets. Salmons stop burning at 55 cooking if you do it at lumbridge. Tuna stops burning with gauntlets at 62 btw.

You stop burning lobsters at level 68 with gauntlets, 74 without. Cooking lobsters gives around 30k exp more per hour which builds up, and saves more time than doing tunas.

 

i prefer tunas- less money lost, and why would i include about lumby range if im doing it via rouges deN?

 

Just thought I'd mention the range. I was simply pointing out the flaws, as there is so much room to improve on this guide.

Tuna is cheaper. But if you just cooked tuna from 62 (stop burning at this level) to 66, you would cook a total of 1625 tunas to achieve 66 cooking. Then you would have to cook a total of 14138 lobsters to get 81 cooking. You would cook a total of 15763 fish. And that is from 62.

Rather than your method where you cook a total of 18630 fish from level 62. Simply backing up your decision by saying "less money lost", as you don't want to admit being wrong, and harming the guides potential.

Now I'll point out where you're wrong. Doing the method I just stated above would cause you to cook 2867 less fish. That saves you around 2 and a half hours? And with that 2 hours, you can easily farm up a lot more gp. Heck mine iron ore for all I care, I heard you make 200k gp with a bot per hour (obv slower than hand), and with that 2 and a half hours you would earn more than what you thought you'd save plus gain mining experience. This is an example and there are other ways of making much more money in 2 and a half hours. Frosts gives over 1m an hour.

If you still wish to keep your guide as it is, and choose not to improve it, then by all means do nothing. Keep thinking you're right and block out any suggestions for improvements from other members.

Nice guide but would love to know gp amount needed for all the fish and how much you would lose in gp.
