Is it just me or

Are all mods / Admins using their status just to make money out of their sythe status?

I mean at least 80% of mods / admin are trying to be an OMM or already are >_<

 

If they've completed the application and they're a good MM, I see no reason why they shouldn't be given the rank.

 

It certainly helped me get OMM but I'm hardly "using it".

No, I don't think it is.. He doesn't have any services etc. He's supported the community.


As for the thread. Mods have the right to MM. Use the status to make extra $, it's fine considering all the work they do.
One thing that does annoy me though is 50% of the mods have something in their signature, Msn, etc. asking for something free. "I'm REALLY in the need of a pin would someone give me one? I need training.. Would someone get me 90 attack?" Things like that annoy me to no end.

 

I find it hard to believe he hasnt made 1 penny ? what does he come to sythe to troll or something ?

As for what you said I completely agree. I think its messed how mods/admins/ and ranked members can advertise a website or something in there signature but members can get infracted for that ?

Would you not rather use a Mod/Admin as your OMM?
That way if a scam takes place, he/she can be banned straight off so they dont scam again inbtween?

Why would someone just donate 600 dollars to a website. if hes not making anything in return. Thats smart..

The only service he's ever offered was his PayPal Donation service, since Matthew does not accept payments through PayPal for donation, he would take the money personally and the money he has bonded with Sythe would be used,

He's done $10K worth of trades,

He's made a loss from Sythe, He uses his own personal free time (which isnt much, considering he tours in Afghanistan) to moderate the market forums to try make sure less people get scammed.

In all fairness, he Deserves to be able to make money from Sythe.

 

He's bought over $10000 worth of runescape stuff and donated more than $600 to it.

That's $10600 in DEBT. I really hope you don't try to trade shares mate.

 

Anyone be more inclined to use a staff member as a middle-man.. That's common sense.

Just because someone is donned mod status doesn't mean they aren't allowed to be involved in the market section.

 

A staff member should be able to use their status to earn more money. They are staff because Admins think they are trust worthy and that means their is a much less chance that they will scam you. Note, I don't mean they should be staff only for money, but I mean if they are staff that should be a sign of trustworthiness.

 

I have no problem with it. They've worked hard to get where they are so they get rewarded for it.

 

So, just because someone is staff they therefore cannot be an OMM? as staff they're trusted. An OMM needs to be trusted. I don't see why, just becuase someone is staff, it should matter if they are an OMM

 

He just buys stuff since he's the richest man on the planet.

Also, if a moderator or an administrator has done their fair share of moderating, why can't they use their rank to make some money? After all, this is a Runescape Cheating forum with the biggest RS Black Market on the Internet.

 

Think about this for a minute.... The amount of time that they have put into sythe and you're saying it's unfair that they can use their status to attract business?
