Well Jagex Games Studio, the Cambridge-based computer game developer, is looking for a number of 11- to 16-year-olds to test a new update to RuneScape, the world’s most popular free-to-play game.

The volunteers are needed for two or three hours on Saturday August 1 and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during their visit.

The testing will take place in Jagex’s Cambridge offices and the volunteers will be given game vouchers to thank them for their time.

I'm on Holiday at that time for 2 weeks, in Dubai. But looks like a great opportunity for those that still play. Testing out this is just a sad as actually playing the game. so posts saying this is "sad","geeky" for nerds etc.. your just retarded.

 

If I lived in the area I'd go. It would be interesting to see Jagex's office.

I don't see why they don't contact volunteers on the message system to download like a special RuneScape client or something? Why would they have to be there?

They planning on making a much much bigger change to Runescape. With rumours of a new skill. But for the biggest changes they have people come in and test.

 

If people do actually go, they are just going to beg for shit and Jagex would have to stop this test early.

 

I won't be going, I bet it will be a good experience for the people who do attend, though.

 

Nobody will be trying to make themself look like a dumbass, by begging. People going will be very appropriate hopping that if they perform good, they can be called out to do more tests for Jagex or other company's.

Edit: Also, not many people are aware of this and casual gamers offered to test out new shit wont say no to the opportunity.

I live in UK, and "kids" in UK? I live in Surrey and Cambridge isn't too far. You have a retarded stereo-type from 1 case of a kid, throwing a stone at a window.

Also Unlike most countries, Runescape isnt common here I'm prolly the only Person in Surrey who plays runescape. These tests arnt aimed at people who already play runescape. They are targeting random teens to test out the game.

UK has the highest playing rate, second from Australia.

 

A debate about what. I'm not gonna waste my time doing research about how many people play runescape in my country. Ive never come across anybody who actually plays runescape.

Also you get the point that this is a private test. Only put into the local papers, seeking people who haven't played this before. Dont you think if UK was highest playing rate, why they wouldn't just post this on the site.

I'm also talking with experience as Ive been to one of these tests. You are just "assuming", so your clueless of what even takes place.
