Where can I learn Java online(for free)?

Hey everyone
I have just recently gotten into botting, and I've decided I want to attempt to make my own scripts, but I realise that you have to know Java to be able to even begin to comprehend the process; so, could anyone tell me a site I could use to learn Java (fairly)quickly for free? I'd be much obliged

codeguru.com has some good forums for when you get stuck and can not figure out what to do next in your programming. i'm taking programming in school and I'm no where near ready to make anything to the effect of a bot. Not trying to put you down or anything but it will be a very hard task to learn java and write a bot :/.

 

Yes, I realize that; I mean I want to begin to learn the basics. My school does not offer anything close to Java; they offer very basic C in the senior year, but that's about it. I have to learn Java eventually, as my choice of career is in the line of programming, so I might as well begin learning now so that I may put it to use sooner. I taught myself HTML and Javascript using YouTube, so I hope that with the assistance of someone or a site, I can get the basics down.

If you go to your local library they might have java for dummies, I know that mine has plenty of things for dummies as my whole town are just A bunch of gun-toting-red-neck-arse-holes-from-the-back-of-Mt.Druit. NOTE: Only people who live in nsw will get that last sentence.
