Why don't you disable the thread moderation in Community General?

Honestly, Com Gen used to be one of the most active boards on this forum a while back, and it wasn't spam mind you. Ever since you made new threads require moderation the board HAS BEEN DEAD. It's pathetic, there's maybe one new thread a week and that alone is pushing it, and the few that do get approved are topics no one even wants to post about or someone can participate in.

The only reason it was moderated in the first place because every so often people who spam, well guess what? There's far worse spam in other sections of this forum and you do nothing about that, why don't you moderato those sections as well? You have mods for a reason, use them the correct way.

Do you want to know why there is never spam in the Community General Section?
-It's because the Moderators are able to approve/unapprove the threads that are posted in the section, and as a result, spam never occurs.

The method is fine, especially for those who post disputes in the proper forum. It makes it so people can't try and make 9,000+ threads whining about being banned and messing up the server load.

For these reasons and more, I do not support.

 

You're saying we don't take care of spam in other sections? lol. Anyway, that section isn't exactly supposed to be active per se, its really just for important discussion about the actual website or things that would concern other members of the website, that can't go under the suggestions or feedback section. If topics like these are made, they'll be approved. Usually topics that don't belong there can fit into another section.
