Scammed by Elf AKA Pingy earlier this year

I was scammed months ago by Pingy but didn't have enough evidence to make a solid report. It has come to my attention I am one of many victims and that Elf aka Pingy has been Scamming several others.

I’ve spent thousands of dollars in the past buying gold from Elf and other ranked sellers on DMWatch.

A few months ago, Elf reached out to me saying she had cheap gold for sale. She then added me to a group chat with another person, claiming he was trustworthy and personally vouched for him. I even asked her if something went wrong, would she take responsibility—she confirmed she would.

I sent $1200 for 10 billion gold at a rate of 0.12. Right after the payment, the group chat was deleted, and Elf has been pretending ever since that she has no idea what happened.

Now she’s playing dumb, but let’s use some common sense. She says she’s selling cheap gold, and seconds later I’m added to a group chat with someone actively selling the gold. It was clearly coordinated.

This wasn’t unusual behavior for her—she’s added me to group chats before and had others sell to me through them. That’s how a few past transactions were done.

I reported this to the owners of the Discord server, and Elf was immediately demodded. At the time, I didn’t bring the situation to Sythe due to a lack of solid evidence. However, now that multiple people are coming forward and exposing similar scamming behavior, I felt it was important to speak up.
