    Scammed via paypal

Soo. I was on another site and decided to pay some rs07 gold. Well I paid with paypal (my account is verified) via GIFT. The Seller then logged out as soon as payment was made. His paypal account is also verified. What is my best option of chargingback? I know paypal doesnt hold their policy with virtual goods so what should I do?? I decided to dispute it as an unauthorized charge, but the seller has a text convo of us and im afraid he may use that against me. any help PLEASE?

Hey! Your best option (personally speaking) Would be to tell PayPal exactly how it happened, You were purchasing a service he said could you send it as a gift so you did, And he did not provide you with your product, Now they shouldn't have a problem with you sending it as a gift, However since it is virtual currency they have no way to track whether you received it or not, So they may just say no, However if you paid from your card through paypal you can actually call your bank and have them reverse it instantly, Then paypal will dispute it with the receiver who will have 31 days to respond to the case and pay off the negative balance he will get, Or paypal could just say they will reverse the fees back into your account so you get your money he loses it, Its a win-win. But it is a shitty thing i hate dealing with chargebacks as they can take up to 3 months if you do it from your bank, However plus side is you will get your money instantly you may just have a flagged paypal for a bit, But either way good luck!

Harro was pretty much right. Make sure to ring up, don't email them. You'll get nowhere.

I had already disputed it as an unauthorized charge because i had read that was the best thing to do.. Should i just call paypal and tell them the truth and then call my bank and tell them what happened?

Call up PayPal and explain it to them, now that you've claimed as unauthorised that's pretty much the story you're going to have to go with, or it seems sketchy.
