Need to find a cheap computer.

I'm australian, I have around $1k AUD to spend, I want a decent gaming computer(that can play CoD and stuff).
Would help if anyone could direct me to online comp shop(thats australian/ships to aussie)

I was able to customize a great pc. 6gb ram, 1tb Harddrive, 1gb Nvidia Graphics (cant remember model, but decent), It had a sick gaming case aswell, all for under $899.

I did this at a shop, and i'm ni Australia.

 

Wait for the pc world sale in january and then buy it online

If you dont care about type of computer I would advise an acer aspire timeline. They are cheap and powerful and have great batterylife

 

I would much rather a desktop.
As I won't be needing to move it around or anything.

 

For $1k you can easily get a beast of a setup, similar to my setup i'll be purchasing in a few weeks:

-Silverstone Raven RV01 Case = $250
-Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P motherboard = $135
-AMD Phenom II 965 Quad Core 3.2Ghz = $300
-4GB 1600Mhz DDR3 Ram = ~$100
-750W Corsair PSU = ~$200
-Decent GFX Card = ~$200-300

give or take a few things, swap them around, like getting a cheaper case for instance and putting the spare cash into the gfx card or whatever.

Basically, build your own setup and build a beast.

If you live in Brisbane, go for either uMart, or Gamedude.com.au, personally I prefer gamedude as they're usually the cheapest around.
