Can someone actually moderate the SFA forum? Like holy fuck I know i'm a massive dipshit but the fuck guys. Someone for the love of god do your fucking job or get the fuck out. Jesus christ.

 

Seems to be a breeding ground for those ban evading post whores that get 50+ ppd by spamming that section and various RS sections such as the goals section.

Another sectional should probably be given perms there, I'd clean it if I had them, it is a problem area for high volume spam.

Some low requirement could be put on the SFA section, like being here for a month or 100 post count.

Keep the spam out of a section primarily for debates.

I think 100 posts is potentially too strong of a barrier to entry. I'd like to see 25 posts, same as the spam forum to be able to post in it.

 

When it happens pm me I'll lay some red. But seriously I'm not always up for debating especially during school so if someone is going full retard just pm me.

 

As always though the report button still exists. Report them and me or another moderator will get to them.

 

Reporting is time limited so it is a super pain to report like 10 posts in 30 seconds. Also its just faster if a mod just glances through the forum every day like what used to happen.

 

You guys should edit posts and put that you infracted them in the SFA. Deleting posts is not good and we don't want to keep reporting the posts that have already been dealt with.

 

Can't the Globals pick it up? That's what they're there for.

 

But they really aren't. Sectionals are supposed to do the vast majority of the section moderating.

you're right, i use to go there to get my post count up but then it would all get deleted because i was told they weren't intelligent... little did they know, i was only getting my post count up lul

Having a 25 post requirement is similar to having a 0 requirement. That works in the spam forum simply for making it a hassle for vaders to make an account and jump right into the spam forum. They have to make 25 posts just to be banned, and start all over.

The idea of raising it to say 100 or being a member for x period of time is to mitigate people spamming rubbish to gain early post count to scam or access the sf.

I agree with SuF though, I don't mean to derail the thread entirely. I think someone paying attention to the section would be nice.

 

Agree with this, SF is for pointless drivel, SFA for intelligent debate. 75-100 sounds about right to me.

I feel like a lot of the threads in SFA right now are better suited for the General Discussion section.
