Did i actually get scammed?

Sold 20m to gentleman on this site (wont name names) because im not sure if i've been scammed or not. I sold him 20m in increments for .50/1m the payments came through and all was fine. before i knew it my money was being held by pay-pal for investigation. I've been talking with this gentleman for a day and he's said he contacted pay-pal, let me know everything they could and he's very sorry. I figured if i had gotten scammed he would dissapear but he's still talking to me assuring me ill receive it soon. What should i do? it's been at 12 hours since the money got put on hold.


Very unfamiliar with pay-pal that's why im still in the dark.

Your best option is to gather any evidence that would show they scammed you (there are stickies that tell you what evidence is required to ensure a ban). Once you've done that, you should continue talking to him, but be wary as he could have indeed scammed you, and is just wasting your time.

If the situation is not yet resolved in a few days, file a scam report with all the evidence you have, ensuring you have as many actual MSN screenshots + any other relevant information.
