Scammed by Cronoic and Alex2012

Hello.

Got scammed for approximately 165-175m OSRS GP.

Explanation of the trade:

I posted on the name request thread on one of this site's subforums, and got a PM from someone mentioning that they did in fact own the name that I wanted.

So, we agreed on a price for 100m for said name.

I asked for a Middleman, and he went looking for one supposedly. He came back with a person with discord ID Theresa#5015. I am now aware that this was a fake Discord account.

However, before any fund exchanges took place, I asked for a PM from the supposed MM's account.

I did in fact get a PM from Sythe account name Alex2012. I click on the profile of the person who sent me the PM, and it is in fact the real Alex2012.

Alex2012's real Discord account is theresa#5015, with a lowercase first letter. However, I did receive a PM from the real Alex2012 through Sythe.

How they scammed:
Once I gave my account information to the supposed Middleman, they logged in and took some valuables. That was about 70m worth of stuff, while I had already paid this fake middleman 100m cash.

For starters the confirmation Pm you received does not match anything. You need to read the confirmation PM for it to actually work. The Pm was directed towards the user that scammed you, you were caught in the middle. Please review this thread to prevent this from happening again: Discord PM Template

I have gone ahead and banned @Cronoic as he uses the same VPN as @Nameking, he is a mass scammer and targets users from the name request thread hoping they will make a leap of faith for the name they want.
