Explanation of the trade:
Btreece opened a ticket asking to get 5 raffle spots for a raffle we were hosting in our discord. He stated he would pay us back when he got paid. We had done this before with him in the past and never had an issues.
How they scammed: Just never paid it back. He did end up sending $50 but it was refunded because he gave us sob stories about his kids and his baby mama leaving him with nothing, so we refunded because we felt bad for him in that moment.
I wasn’t that worried about it until he started asking us to borrow more gold and then I saw he was receiving vouches for buying gold from other people. If he’s in a place now to buy gold he can pay us back but has been unresponsive.
