Probably a strange one for you to receive but I thought it better coming from me rather than anyone else.

Background

I originally sold an account to Henriko, now banned, on this thread, originally listed on the 23rd April 2020. The account was sold to Henriko on the 1st May 2020.

Henriko approached me on the 4th May (I'm guessing, according to the edit date on my thread) saying he wished to re-sell the account and if I would re-list it on his behalf, which I did - though he also created a thread here.

According to Henriko's thread, Acid vs XTC bought the account on the 11th May and whilst I can't see a vouch they appear to have used an MM for the trade, as can be seen here.

I did tell Henriko that I was unhappy to accept ongoing responsibility of the account in the instance he re-sold it and, whilst my thread didn't disclose that TOS when I originally sold it, I didn't think he was planning to re-sell. However, hopefully Online can corroborate that statement, as Online originally tried to buy it from Henriko, to re-sell on, and I stated I wasn't comfortable taking responsibility with multiple owners potentially involved.

Fast-forward to now and Acid vs XTC contacted me last night (around 9pm GMT) saying the account had been recovered - I said I was happy to attempt to do a recovery test but I by no means felt obligated to and in hindsight probably should have looked into a bit more first.

I found this thread last night of Acid vs XTC looking to sell the account, and whilst all details have now been removed I'm sure you can see the content of this and match it up as the account I had originally sold.

My report of myself is based on the fact that I attempted recovery of the account last night and this morning had notification it had been denied. Now, I'm happy to attempt recovery again but before I do I'd like to ensure who I'm actually recovering it for, as I have no idea if Acid vs XTC did re-sell the account.

Regardless, I shouldn't of advertised the account with the statement I'd maintain recovery responsibility if I failed on this first attempt - though in hindsight, with the potential of 4 owners/IP's/e-mails associated on the account within the last month (mine, Henriko, Acid vs XTC and potentially another) maybe this is why I've not been deemed the original owner straight away.

Other factors

I will admit that my personal e-mail associated on the account was compromised in the last two weeks (though it's a username login) which is why I've had to spend time migrating e-mails to a different address, and you can probably tell as I've recently changed my e-mail for this website. I'm also posting from a different location as I've not been actively online in at least the last week due to relocating as a result of Covid. Whilst I don't believe there was enough information to facilitate a recovery I can't necessarily rule it out.

Whilst I should have originally stated that I was unwilling to take ongoing responsibility in the case of a re-sale within the thread TOS (even though this was mentioned) I have adopted that practice since, for example here.

Side note

To what the, who I sold an OSRS pure to, your account, to my knowledge is safe. The e-mail associated to that account isn't the one that was compromised (though is back in my control) nor was any of the information the same.

Same to brah scrilla, who I sold my ironman to, the e-mail associated to that account is different to both this account in question and the pure, and no information for it was contained on the compromised e-mail.

Summary

• I sold an OSRS account to Henriko, who sold the account to Acid vs XTC, who is looking to or has sold the account to someone else (I've no way of confirming this).
• I've been initially unable to recover the account, I'm unsure if this is due to the multiple owners within a short time period (one month).
• I'm happy to continue to try and recover the account, but at this stage I've no clue who the actual owner is due to the constant re-selling (been on here 5 years and never seen an account re-sold so much in so little time) and even though I stated I was unwilling to take responsibility in the case of re-sales. I also haven't been provided any evidence that it's been recovered.

I would imagine that I'm still liable for this since I'm the original owner, but on reflection something doesn't quite seem right to me which is why I'd rather post this myself. Not quite sure it's a 'scam' or if it was meant to go in this section but hopefully this is okay.

It is right that i wanted to resell it! But i never Sold it . And i closed the Thread because the Account got Recoverd!

There is no Point for me to Resell it and then Recover it.
I buying and Selling Daily Billions of Gold!
And I only want the Account back or my money Back.

The original TOS were:

1. Personal recovery information will not be provided, this is to ensure my safety also.
2. Current linked e-mail will be switched over to yours.
3. Will take all recovery responsibility in the future.
4. By contacting me you agree to the above.

Obviously the part I'm missing on statement on 3 is 'unless the account is re-sold' which as mentioned, I have since adopted. This was also made aware to Henriko, though I can't confirm whether he mentioned it.

I suppose where I'm coming from is, the account has been sold twice, potentially three times in the last month, I wouldn't have known that Acid vs XTC was selling it/had sold it if I didn't research his posts, so how do I maintain responsibility for this when I don't know who owns it?

 

I had a Conversation with a Mod or Admin. And Firework was pmed from me that i bought it i asked him if its the right login Name. The other Thing is i never Sold this Account no one was Interested in this a Admin can check my PM. All i want is the Account back or my money Back....

The other Suspect Thing is the Vouches which Firework have are from fresh regged Accounts with only 1 Post @Andy

 

I never denied that you bought it.

I sold this account to Henriko, who obviously isn't me.

I sold my pure to what the, who's been a member since 2017.

I sold my ironman to brah scrilla, granted yes he joined recently and has one post, doesn't mean it's not a legitimate sale, by that logic many members of this site would have fake vouches.

If you're going to accuse me of fake vouches, what's to stop me accusing you of selling the account to someone who doesn't have a Sythe login? Plenty of guests who don't have an account buy on this forum.

Both grasping at straws there but I don't need to justify myself and I suppose neither do you so it is what it is.

As an FYI, I won't be refunding you. Happy to attempt further recovery if the mods see fit but as mentioned I don't feel I owe you that obligation. I can't prove I didn't recover it and you can't prove you didn't sell it.

Secondary FYI, if I was attempting to recover accounts I would have recovered all three that I've sold, that's typically the norm in cases like this? A scam-quit? Considering I've ceased all trading until this is resolved and to my knowledge none of the other accounts have issues, I don't get what I have to gain from this, but I can see what you would.

 

If you are the OO you can only Recover the Account. There are 2 Options you Give me the Account back or the Gold

 

Just for my own overall clarity, I'm going to break this down from my perspective, not that I'm saying this is likely or what's happened, but then who knows.

I sell an account to Henriko - I get paid.

Henriko sells the account to you - he gets paid.

I hypothetically recover the account from you - what good does this do me? I'm now in this situation reporting myself trying to justify that I haven't, I can't re-sell the account because I've labelled it sold already and I've bought this to people's attention.

You actively try to sell the account, maybe you succeed - you get paid.

You then claim I've recovered it and ask for either the account back or money. If you did manage to sell it, you get the account back. Or, you get additional money from me, for claiming it's been recovered.

Frankly I'm not envious of the mod decision process on this one as neither can be proved but this is probably my last word on it, I'll leave it up to them.

Just for my clarification again, let's say Acid sells the account, am I then liable for this on-going?

No problem - makes sense. I'll let you know the outcome of the recovery attempt, hopefully the second one is smoother.
