Explanation of the trade:
Sammy middlemanned a trade for 3.5b OSRS for the RSN [mod edit]
The deal I made with Sammy was that the money was being sold to him, so I'd never handle the money in any way, I was just selling the gold direct from the buyer's pocket into BTC at a rate of 0.42/m.

I then completed the transfer to the buyer's account and asked the buyer and Sammy to confirm it was changed. The buyer confirmed that it was changed and within a few seconds Sammy announced that his ban was for RWT.

He had no proof of anything, said he doesn't record his screen or have shadowplay set up and so I just have to accept his word, the money was gone from existence.

How they scammed:
Firstly, when I started to question the outcome, Sammy said he spoke to some admins who said he had no responsibility because of this thread: Middlemen are NO LONGER liable for rwt bans
This thread CLEARLY states:
"In turn, the middleman must ask you and your buyer/seller before the trade to decide who will be responsible for an rwt ban instead. Generally speaking this will simply be the user who is trading the gp to the middleman."
Sammy never asked us about this and never put any rule in place and as a result due to pure timing/unluckiness, I was the one getting screwed over since the "ban" happened literally seconds after the transfer completed.

Secondly, we had agreed that the money was NOT being given to me. The money was instead going to be SOLD to Sammy at a rate of 0.42/m for crypto. This means that as soon as that name was transferred, the money was officially SAMMY's gold stock and not mine. It is as if I contacted him and said "Hey let me sell you 3.5b of gold" and then after selling to him, he gets banned and refuses to pay.

When I questioned this after the apparent "ban" he said it wasn't considered a sale because if he were buying gold in order to sell, he'd have stored it on multiple accounts with a maximum of 1b per account.
That makes no sense, it's still a sale of gold. If I had said to him "Hey let me sell you 3.5b of gold" i'd still have gone and traded him. If he wants it on 1 account or spread over 4 accounts is his choice but not MY decision to make. Also, if this is a measure to prevent RWT, why didn't he take that measure to begin with? It's been an hour since I asked and i've been ghosted with no response...

Let me explain quickly about my problem;

2 customers came to me about middleman service. One of them was going to sell name and other guy was paying around 3.5b gold for the name. They agreed and i got his gp for hold. I was holding and they went to trade name after that i got banned in 4 minutes after i got gp. They didnt finish trade yet when i got banned. That can be dupe gold i don't know but i got banned.. I never try to scam anyone and anytime also I haven't tried this kind of thing before. I really got banned and gp has gone. I was doing service for these guys. Also i did middleman service template through sythe PM with one of them and he confirmed my ToS. There is a text that I am not responsible for the ban on my ToS. Help me about this situation guys.

You were not swapping the gold from his account over to my account like you are trying to make it seem. You BOUGHT my GP for bitcoin. We agreed you would NOT trade me the gold. That means once name trade is confirmed, the gold belongs to YOU and YOU owe me $1,470 in BTC... That was our agreement.


The name transferred, but now you refuse to send the funds even though the above screenshot clearly shows that once the transfer was complete, you send me BTC.

In your initial response, you claimed that it wasn't a sale of gold because otherwise you'd have used multiple accounts to store a maximum of 1b per account. It makes no sense, you knew and agreed that you were buying the gold from me but you chose not to take and precaution and then claim it's my responsibility to ensure that the gold you bought from me that you store on your own account doesn't get banned? We agreed the gold would NEVER touch my account and instead i'd get crypto so why wouldn't you store it properly and avoid this issue?

 

First of all, you asked me to sell 3.5b without middleman service and i gave you price. After 1 hour later you came for middleman service for runescape name and i went to do middleman service and i just give price after you asked for ETH but i already do BTC and told you the thing. Also i don't keep that much gold at my business becase of ban risk in these days. I was just answered with price and told him my options for paying that is all. I was holding gold while you guys were trading name and i never get risk for 3.5b in 1 account for myself. I was still on duty as a middleman while you guys were trading for name. Also i got banned in 4 minutes and i want to say again; while you doing trade at that time i was still doing middleman service to hold your gold. Also if you didnt complete to give name while i was holding your gold that that shows we are in middle of the middleman service.

If you check all conversation you can see you told me ''thanks'' for BTC trade after that we talked about middleman service in 1 hour about location for holding your gold. Also i have a text in my ToS about i'm not responsible with bans and you agreed with it. How come to get responsible on me for this ban issue?

You are trying to use MM as an excuse to escape your liability as a gold buyer. You just continue to mention how your ToS says you don't take responsibility for bans during a middleman trade but this was not a standard middleman trade. The recipient of the gold was YOU, we agreed that from the beginning. If that rule applied here then in your mind I should be held responsible for what happens to the gold on your account forever, even after receiving BTC.



This screenshot could not be any clearer, we agreed that you will take this gold and keep it on YOUR account forever in exchange for bitcoin. Those are the facts. Why would I take responsibility for gold on YOUR account for a sale of GP?

And I have no idea why you brought up the 1 hour of silence between our agreement of selling gold and when we actually did the deal, we still made the agreement and nothing was even said during that time period. You asked me to let you know when he's ready, and when he was (1 hour later) i told you he was ready and we did the trade.
