Maybe I'm too old but replying to someone who didn't get scammed and is just trying to warn the public with something like "you didn't file the police report correctly" makes me laugh. I could care less, you wonder why so many scammers LIVE on sythe.

Most likely the user you were speaking to was an imposter. Please go through the following to ensure you are speaking to the real user:

1.) ALWAYS request a sythe PM before every trade to make sure you're talking to the correct person. A correct PM should look like this: https://i.imgur.com/hhosthY.png
2.) Discord Impostors almost always have nitro, which allows them to change their Discord Discrims (#) to copy legitimate users.
3.) Discord names and # can be copied but Discord UIDs can't be! Please always double check this. Go into Discord settings > turn developer mode ON, right click and copy ID. Explained here: Discord PM Template

Lmao I literally was . Back when clashfan (i think that was his username), real name was jason, was an admin we were good friends and before he left i was made a market mod for a while. I actually was pretty involved in the running of this website for a while. Unless you were here from 2008 or around then I probably can't prove it, i didnt frame a screenshot of my mod status or something . Maybe if we talked i can convince you

What was your sythe name at the time and why aren't you using that account now?

 

The name was Eric, and I last logged in around 2010 or something. I have no idea what the password is and I don't have access to the email anymore. I'm way past the point of re-litigating things that happened 10 years ago and I have no intention of sticking around here for any length of time. I've moved on. I just popped up to sell an old account.

Only posting here because I love the fact that people are calling me a liar for saying I was once a moderator on a forum, as if that is on par with an engineer or a doctor. But no one would call me out for that.

The account @Eric was indeed promoted to staff back in March 2008 as seen here: About Sythe.org Staff, Ranks and Titles, however it was banned for scamming in Aug 2011: Eric = Scammer (Scammed by GrandMaster)

By your own admission you've admit to ban evading. You'll be required to pardon and clear that debt should you wish to return to sythe: Request a Pardon
