So i made a deal with Searchy to buy some btc and pay via UKBT

so i send him £1020 and only after I’ve sent him the money he asks me if its my account to which I tell him its a friends account (if I was dishonest he would have probably gone through with the deal).

He then tells me he cannot do it unless its my account im transferring from. I then say fair enough refund to original account and he does not want to do that either and asks me for convos statements etc.

Its been a nightmare dealing with this guy.

He replies every 2-3 hours sometimes longer, says two words and goes offline. Sometimes comes online and doesn’t even reply and goes offline.

I think this has been my worst dealing ever with someone on this forum and I’ve dealt with alot of the major players.

Hello,

Yes, we agreed that I would sell you BTC for UKBT. However, you let a "friend" send me the money instead of using your own bank account.
That's suspicious and I was not comfortable taking a payment from a random person because you didn't seem to know him well at all. It seems very likely that this are stolen funds and I don't feel like being charged back and my bank account being closed.
On top of that, you wanted me to refund the money to a different person / bank account. This all seems really sketchy and fraudulent to me and I'm not comfortable going through with the deal.
I already told you the money is being refunded back by my bank to the senders' account, so I'm not sure what the use is of this report. Seems like a complete waste of time

First of all I told you as soon as you asked me it was from a friends account and like I said in my first post I didn’t have to tell you but I chose to.


Secondly before you start throwing around accusations of stolen funds I told you I am more than happy to accept a refund into my mates account (the original account the funds were sent from) which you’ve been longing out for 4 days now.

Now here comes the fun part, you’re saying you’re already refunding the money back from your bank account but this sceenshot here sent by you tells me that you are in fact using a middle account to receive ukbt.

So basically me being honest with you made you think I was acting suspcious however what it really looks like is you was lying all along and its not really your bank account but a middle account you’re receiving the payments to.

Also UKBT are usually instant (can take up to 2 hours on some occasions) so why is it you’re refund is taking 4 days+?)

And yes, you said your friend sent the bank transfer when I asked you why the transfer didn't come from your name

its been 5 days now and it takes literally 5 minutes to refund

Uk bank transfers are instant and in some occasions can take up to 2 hours.

I don’t see why I should wait so long to get my money back unless his using the money which he probably has been doing hence why his been taking so long.

 

Losing money every day waiting for this guy to send my money back

Its been nearly 2 weeks and I’m still waiting for a refund

this guy isn’t even communicating and no one seems to care.

i wonder what would have happened if the roles were reversed and I was holding onto his money for 2 weeks.

 

when we as the victims have to show every piece of evidence we have to show whats happened why is it that the other party thats being accused does not have to show or prove their innocence?

Why is he not communicating? Why is he not showing screenshots of the refund? Why isn’t the mods doing anything?

 

I’m saying it hasn’t come through, does he not have to show me too?
