GpGiant scammed 639M, account recovery

Explanation of the trade: I rented his account for 1 hour.

How they scammed:
After successfully renting from him before. First for 2 hours and later for overnight, when he was asleep.
Today I rented his account for the 3rd time for 1 hour. I logged into the account and after 13 minutes on the account GpGiant recovered the account and kicked me off. Including my valuebles worth 639M in total. Right after he scammed me he changed his Discord on his rental thread from Gp Giant#8446 to GpGiant#7437

Edit: I know that I didn't PM him in Sythe to confirm it was him in Discord. He's the first person in years I forgot to PM in sythe. GpGiant abused this and saw it as an oppertunity to scam me without consequences.
I still want this report to be out there. Because he'll probably do it again to someone.

I'll leave it in the middle what happend here because some things are still not quite right, he still edited his discord information on his rental thread (see last screenshot). Now he changed it to his original discord again. Why would you do that?

I got refunded the full amount of 639M, and he was kind enough to offer me to use the 30 minutes I hadn't used yet.

 

Although a refund was issued this doesn't excuse the fact that he attempted to scam you. To me it looks like he kicked you off the account, and possibly he made a lot more later and chose to refund you in hopes to scam quit more later. Obviously this is assumption, but why would he change his Discord ID from his thread after/ignore you all of a sudden after that happened? I've DNT'd you @GpGiant so that you can explain yourself a bit here as you've been online since the report was up and haven't said a thing yet.

 

Hello , So basically what happend was that I rented theblitched the account for 30 minutes after previously renting him the account a few times prior, I explained to him that I had to go out and that I would be back shortly, When I came back i saw all of his messages saying he got kicked of the account. What had happend was my brother (who also plays the account) Tried to log on to the account but couldn't log in so he did an account recovery to get the account back , not knowing that id rented it to theblitched. Once he saw the items on the account he logged out , I explained this to theblitched when i was back and assured him I still had his rapier + 182m gold, and that he would be fully refunded aswell as getting his full time back (as hed already used 13 minutes) as a gesture of good will because I felt bad about the situation. As for the Discord I couldn't access My original one as I didnt have the password saved and was on my LOL discord (on my phone as I was out) , So i changed the thread and was going to contact him from the new one Id made. Once I was back I returned to my old discord (as the information is pre saved and logged in) and thats when I contacted him and gave him back his full refund.

 

I believe the evidence provided so far is sufficient enough to warrant a punishment for attempted scam as from my PoV this looks like a clear scam attempt that didn't work the way you wanted to as there are several red flags here, however I'll address each of your main points. I'd like an in-depth response to all my points before proceeding with a conclusion.

Show the chat-logs from start to finish of this. I've reviewed the chat-logs from OP's PoV, and you never acknowledged that (doesn't contribute anything here anyways, but if you're lying here, then that's a red flag from the jump).

Why are you sharing the recovery details to an account that you're renting out to customers knowing that it can be compromised at any moment? Also if your "brother" accessed the account, then how come he didn't reply on Discord during the time-frame you claimed to be AFK? I'm sure if this was really the case, then he'd notify you, or the customer. Your Discord was online the entire time as well, so I'm sure someone was still on it.

What do you need to change the Discord ID from your thread for? It's not like your Sythe/Discord were compromised (I know neither were), so what's the point in doing that? You can easily just add his Discord/message him yourself if that's not the Discord you use for trading. Also if you claim you're on your mobile Discord due to being out, then how would you access your Sythe to edit the thread with a new Discord ID? The last post around the time-frame this occurred came from your home IP, so how does that make any sense to you? The fact that you edited your thread with a new Discord ID that you don't use for trading makes it appear as is if you're trying to cover your tracks.

Also since we're on that topic I'd like for you to show me proof of contacting him from that Discord that you used from your phone (as you claim it's a completely different one), which is what you used to justify the edit on your thread (as bizarre as that is itself).

As far as I'm concerned the user who reported you told me you never addressed the issue from another Discord, and that it came from your original Discord 4 hours after the incident occurred.

My brother and I had recently purchased a new maxed account and split the cost 50-50 so both of us have all of the account details. I know my brother wouldn’t intentionally recover the account without good reason. He is not involved with the things I do on Scythe and I didn’t tell him I was renting out the account. When he tried to login and received an invalid password message, he thought that the seller of the account had recovered it. This is why he recovered the account.

As soon as my brother recovered the account he called me saying that the previous owner tried to scam us but that he successfully got it back and that it had gold and rapier. I explained to him that I had rented it out and that he should stay off the account and leave any gold / items on the account. I told him that I would handle it when I returned home.

My brother does not have access to my discord (or my PC as my room is locked when I leave) so it wouldn’t be reasonable for him to contact the account renter. He didn’t even know anything about the account renting / who the renter was in the first place. My discord was online the entire time because I leave my PC on as majority of time mainly for running bots / autoclicking magic, etc.

I was unable to find the renter’s discord because he had added me to begin with. Since I was unable to login on my original discord I couldn’t just lookup his discord or find old messages. While on the phone with my brother I had him log into my Scythe account on his computer in order to change the discord listed on my thread to my alternate discord, and to check if the renter had made any posts on my thread. By changing the discord on my thread, I was hoping that the account renter would see my new discord and add me so that I could explain to him the situation.


Also since we're on that topic I'd like for you to show me proof of contacting him from that Discord that you used from your phone (as you claim it's a completely different one), which is what you used to justify the edit on your thread (as bizarre as that is itself).


I was never able to (nor did I say I did) contact him from my alternate discord because I was not able to find his discord. Also I was out at the time and I knew that his items were safe and that the situation would be taken care of when I returned.

When I got back to my house several hours later I now had access to my computer along with my original discord. I immediately changed my thread discord back to my original discord and contacted the seller with a full explanation of what had happened, along with a refund of his renting time and gold / items.

I fully get where your coming from king but I think its a bit unreasonable to ban me over a misunderstanding. If I wanted to scam quit, ~600M would have been enough to make back the $250 donor, buy another $250 donor acc and still have some left over. Along with the fact that I have over $5k traded on my Scythe account.
