What exactly constitutes "hacking," as disallowed by the rules?

For example, would the discussion of reverse-engineering games for the purpose of creating custom clients, bots, etc. be disallowed?

If it's essentially how private servers work then that's fine, aye. Bots are fine.

 

Thanks for clearing that up. From my understanding, this means that the discussion of reverse-engineering for the sake of developing bots/tools/helpers is allowed then.

 

As long as you're not interfering with the actual game or it's players in any way
