Account purchases.

I was always under the impression that when a member sells an account, if they are the original owner, they can always recover it easily.
Has something changed to make recoveries more difficult? Because I see some newcomers selling 07 accounts that are actually getting serious offers.
Given my understanding on how easy account recoveries can be and how likely a newcomer is to scam, I find it retarded that someone would be willing to buy an account from a random newcomer.
I also see many trusted members reselling accounts, so they must buy them themselves from, presumably, less trusted members.
Am I missing something? Can OMMs somehow avoid or reduce account recoveries? Aren't people who resell accounts prone to get their accounts recovered(even after reselling them)?

 

Alright, an account is always recoverable and in a worser state than it ever was. No matter who you buy it off, it can be recovered, all with a simple email to jagex.

I compiled a guide for people who are interested in purchasing a guide, it's practically a deterrent to purchase from someone with a lesser status within the community. I'll dig it up and link you.
