Congratulations to everyone this month who has achieved a goal! We appreciate each and every one of your contributions to the Sythe community.​

Just to start this thread off, I'd like to congratulate 2 members and welcome back 3. ​

Two members have been promoted to the ranks of Administrator and RuneScape Moderator. Roary has been promoted to Admin Roary, which was a well deserved promotion. Congratulations on getting Support Mod -> Admin in only 8 months! Ziggily was also recently promoted to RuneScape Moderator. I'm sure she will do us all proud, hope you do well Kaytlin!​

Additionally, three moderators have returned: Corey (Global Moderator), Quatakai (Market Moderator), -Ryan (RuneScape Moderator). Welcome back!​

Meanwhile, some other achievements!

• Feelgewd - 1000 vouches reached this month, congratulations dude!
• Divicasales has done some crazy stuff recently, getting 750 vouches while only having 800 posts! Watch out for this user in the future.
• Zuzel111 gained 750 vouches this month, here's to another 750!
• I_DONT_BOT hit the milestones of 600 vouches and $600 donor, congratulations!
• I_LOVE_LA has donated $200! Very generous donation to the community.
• Lvl 75 def now has a whopping 2000 posts. Hopefully there will be plenty more in the future!
• johng1208 Achieved over 1600 posts, but more importantly 100 vouches! Good work john!
• tehsuperginge reached 1337 posts, worth a mention because he's so e1337.
• Add My Msn has reached 4000 posts, continue the good work and you might get mod again one day!
• Chloecat has reached 200 Vouches! Congrats on your success Chloe!

Q1. Personal Support. I browsed other sections but only posted on things that interested me, which wasn't much.
I just enjoyed helping people in Personal Support really.​

Q2. I like causing people a lot of pain when I'm fighting them in Judo or Taekwondo. I guess I just like the feeling of being invincible and when I beat people so much I tend to get that feeling.​

Roary
Q1. Support section always has been my favourite and my most posted in. Which was cool because I first became mod there ​

Q2. Probably the TV I watch. Lots of kids cartoons & films. Not really a massive guilty pleasure but that's all I have​

Q1. Graphics for sure. I don't really remember being active in any other forum except for a few posts here and there in Community General. ​

Q2. Clarification pls? o.o[Too young to have any I suppose]​

Q1. I used to be active in a lot of sections; I was very community driven. I was a User Educator, so I participated in the help sections a lot. I also posted in "Our Community," and "Off-Topic" fairly often.​

Q2. Well, I guess I'd have to go the TV shows I watch. I love Glee, Teen Wolf, Vampire Diaries, etc.​

Starting with the basics, how did you find Sythe.org and what were your intentions upon joining?

I joined Sythe.org's predecessor, RuneCMS, when I was in grade 7, because I was looking for RuneScape cheats. By a coincidence I discovered simple Visual Basic tutorials for coding clients and auto-typers and clickers and whatnot, and that's where my interest in programming (which is now my career) began.​

RuneCMS closed in April 2005 and began redirecting to Sythe's site (which used to not have any forums till then).​

You've been around for a while now. What has kept you around all these years?

Hard to say. It has remained a near-constant in my life for the past 8 years aside from the times I was demoted unfairly, or coerced into resigning. I like doing work on the site and I like using the market now and then. As I've gotten older I have less time to spend on Sythe.org than I used to but I have a role on staff that sort of allows me to be less active.​

What did you think when you were first promoted?

I remember being really excited. It was Steph who promoted me, and this was back when there were head moderators (ie. admins who were allowed to promote people without a poll), so it was her call, though she had a lot of support with the staff team. By chance, I also saw the thread in the staff lounge where my name was put forth. I recall Tilex, Steph, x0x0 Lt, x9, Curt, and KingBlade all put my name forth.​

What are your main interests outside of Sythe.org? What do you enjoy doing?

I'm a nerd. I love computers, I love programming, I love gaming, and I love learning languages. ​

Don't get me wrong, I do have friends and a social life, just my interests all happen to be bookish/academic.​

Do you work at the moment or have any sources of income?

I'm currently working for the Department of Mathematics at my University. I'd have liked to link to my staff profile page I've shown off to all my friends, but for privacy reasons (it has my email, room number, and other private things on it), that won't be possible.​

What are your plans for your future on Sythe.org?

Well "my" future on Sythe.org is pretty unshakable; I've already got the highest position possible (superadmin/server access/database access), but it also means there's nothing else to gain, which is fine, because I'm happy with my current role.​

What I plan to do on Sythe.org is to phase out unnecessarily long and time consuming systems the staff have been using for far too long by introducing more modern ways of handling them. If you look at some of the posts in my personal feedback thread, you'll find the staff have seen some recent developments from me that they are very grateful for. Hell, I had just finished yet another vBulletin plugin when I saw your PM for the interview.​

Alright, I'll wrap it up now. Any last words?

Time To Buy:

"I personally think the townhall should be reverted to how it previously was. It was much easier to navigate the sections in the older format, now I feel it's quite difficult to figure out where everything is, and as such I don't visit the new section as much. Change it back!"​

Yeah wulfspade's are a little more laid back. I tend to be more blunt and straight to the point.

 

My only complaint would be that I wish it was a bit longer, I breezed through that pretty quickly
