Angels and Demons

What do you believe? I was raised to believe in God but have grown away from those teachings and took them differently than everyone around me since the beginning. I really don't know what I'd classify myself as, I've been called an atheist, christian, and nearly everything in between based on my different beliefs and opinions. I've always believed that we aren't alone in the seemingly unending observable universe and beyond and it's stupid to think our little rock is special enough to be the only life. Many of my views about Supernatural beings, God, Angels, Demons, and extraterrestrial life intersect and merge becoming one truth that I believe makes sense.

So following is the story line and interpretation of the supernatural beings, Angels, and Demons coming from the T.V. Show Supernatural. I really love this show and how they choose to tie everything into what is most likely happening behind the backs of the average human. If you haven't watched the show i suggest you do and whether you have or not the following is a good read. Thanks


The contemporary Roman Catholic Church, and many other different religions teaches that angels and demons are real beings rather than just symbolic devices. Regardless of what you believe, historically and religiously here is some information on Angels and Demons, and what is commonly perceived of both.

After humans were fully evolved, God created a paradise on Earth called the Garden of Eden. He placed humanity in the Garden, and declared them his favorite creations.

He told all the angels in Heaven to bow down before the humans, and serve them. The archangel Lucifer refused to bow down before a species that was younger, and inferior to him. He claimed that they were "flawed, and murderous." He declared war against God, and was eventually cast down to Earth.

God placed Gadreel (his most trusted angel) to guard Eden from the fallen Lucifer. Lucifer somehow managed to break past Gadreel's defense, and snuck into the garden. As a payback to God, he corrupted Lilith's (Adams first wife) soul, and made her into the first demon. Once a beautiful human soul, Lilith was now a twisted, corrupted cloud of black smoke.

Lucifer, still in the garden, corrupted the minds of the humans, and tricked Adam and Eve (Adam's other wife) into eating the fruit. God cast humanity out of the Garden for disobeying him.

Adam and Eve had two sons, named Cain and Abel. Lucifer was able to manipulate Abel into listening to him, rather than God. Cain saw what Lucifer was doing, and offered his own soul, so that Abel could go to Heaven. Lucifer agreed to the deal, but Cain had to be the one to slay Abel.

Cain then fashioned a blade out of the jawbone of an ass, and Lucifer placed a mark on Cain's arm, which powered the blade. Cain took the mark and blade, and slaughtered Abel, sending his soul to Heaven.

God then created a personal cage for Lucifer, which was locked by 66 seals. Ironically, the last seal that needed to be broken, was the death of Lilith, the first demon he created, and the reason he was placed in Hell.

Before he was locked away, Lucifer ordered Cain to create more demons. After slaying Abel with the blade, the mark gave him a murderous rage, making him have to kill humans to feel better. The more he killed, the better he felt, but the less he killed, the worse he felt.

Eventually, he couldn't bear the murder, and didn't want to become the killer the mark wanted him to be, so he took his own life with the blade. The mark didn't want to let go of Cain, so instead it transformed his soul into a demon, and the first Knight of Hell.

Following Lucifer's orders, Cain picked early humans, and transformed them into demons, more specifically, Knights of Hell. He trained the Knight to be ruthless, merciless, and they pillaged the Earth.

Humans became wicked, and started going to Hell instead of Heaven. There, their souls were tortured, twisted and corrupted, where they became demons. Those demons make deals on Earth, condemning more souls to Hell, where they too will be corrupted into demons.


Angels are powerful, celestial beings created by God to serve as his attendants and messengers, but also as soldiers in his war against Lucifer and his demons. They are native to Heaven and are imbued with both holy white light as well as considerable power. Their true form is nothing less than that of holy righteous beings which are beautiful as well as hazardous, overwhelming, and terrifying all at the same time; ranging from two to six (maybe more) large feathered wings on their backs, four animalistic heads with halos of light around them, and heights as tall as skyscrapers.

Angels are one of the most powerful entities, generally outclassing all demons, monsters, and other supernatural creatures with the exception of the Leviathans, Eve, The Horsemen, and God Himself.

Angels are capable of reproducing with humans while in a vessel, creating a Nephilim. Unless they have their Grace, the resulting offspring will be human. They cannot reproduce in their natural form, and it is unknown what is born when two angels within vessels reproduce.

I'm an incredibly "logical" person that sides very heavily with science, and I find myself disbelieving in anything that is not/cannot be backed by science. That being said, I deeply want to believe, and I do believe in the "beyond" as there is evidence based on the multiverse theory that our bodies could be simply a vessel for our souls (energy) as energy cannot be destroyed. I like to believe there is a higher plane that we end up at but it is hard, and I in no way impede on others beliefs as we are all free to believe as we please. I consider myself agnostic in that I will believe what I choose and find out in the long run.

 

You've got a similar mindset to myself. I was raised in a Christian family and believed it myself until I was a teenager, and realised that I found it very difficult to believe in stuff just with faith and not facts, so eventually I declared myself an agnostic. I find it very difficult to believe in a god because of it, and therefore in any sort of supernatural phenomena. I'm very confused overall with the whole idea, and found it hard that just because I can't see it, doesn't mean it might no exist.

Probably something I'll struggle with a lot with my life.

 

I don't count anything out. I'm not religious but I don't assume that means there for sure isn't a god either. Same goes for angels and demons. Maybe they do exist maybe they don't

 

My parents are religious and hence raised me religiously. However as I've come to grow of age I've strayed from that path and found myself not believing in such stories. I don't believe in God, or angels and demons but I wont rule it out. There may be a higher power, there might not. Until it's proven true with a factual backing I won't believe in such things, but I wont tell anyone that it isn't possible because you can't prove it isn't real also. I personally hope that after this lifetime on this planet we move somewhere else, I do refuse to believe that we are the only intelligent life form living on a plant within the Universe.
