question to everyone that uses paypal.

Hello, I have never used paypal in my life and I am thinking I want to start using it to sell some gp I've made to some high vouched buyers. Now, I'm 100% certain that high vouched buyers won't chargeback on me but to reduce the odds and put the odds into my favour, what steps should I do? like, should I make them send the cash as a gift or for virtual goods?

 

Get a dummy account and have them send the payments to the dummy paypal account, then send the money from your dummy account to your personal account, goodluck if you try to sell your stuff

 

This is a terrible idea. If the fake account gets locked/limited with money on it you might not get it back.

 

You can still risk getting charge backs on PayPal. Though, if you still insist on using PayPal, get it Sythe Certified.


Also, a "dummy account"? You do realize you still need a real bank account or real credit card to set up your PayPal, right?

 

Meh there are ways to stealth verify a paypal , but still if your dummy or whatever is chargebacked couldn't you be at a negative balance? And no one wants a negative paypal balance :/

Paypal is vile, id stay away from it.

But your best bet would probably be using Moneypack to credit the money to your account your self.

You can request a picture of ID of the buyer so that if they charge back you can say well who ever did it also had his ID, shown to me at the same time as the transaction etc.

 

I would not use PayPal for high charges, over $10. Only use Paypal with trusted members.

 

Wouldn't recommend paypal but if you do end up using it, I'd recommend making them send as a gift and making them provide I.D so if they ever file a unauthorized claim you can send paypal the users I.D card.
