    Can this happen?
    I purchase an account from someone, then they proceed to bot on the same IP as what the one the account was created on.

    My account gets banned due to chain ban.

    100% hypothetical, just a thought.

    Very doubtful, I wouldnt buy account from someone not trusted anyways.

    maybe possible, but i'd say extremely unlikely. as above user said, i'd only buy from trusted users

    Yes. They just ban people whenever they want.

    Doubtful, they usually don't ban from IP alone, even with chain bans. Jagex is pretty good about only banning accounts that have been recently botted on.
