safe way to sell auths

The sale of authorisation codes for bots (e.g., RSBots.net, AutoFighter.org, etc.,) should be allowed. However, strict guidelines are to be placed.

The sale of authorisation codes requires the authorisation code ("Auth") to be verified by a member of the staff. Codes that are sold MUST be no-strike auths, meaning they have NEVER been re-issued. Codes that are not verified within 24 hours of starting their sale will be removed.

To have your authorisation code verified, you must send a moderator or administrator a message with the site the code is from, and a copy of the confirmation email.

AT THE TIME OF SALE:
A moderator/administrator will seize the email the auth was purchased with, temporarily. They will request a re-issuance of the authorisation code, and send that new code to the buyer. The email will them be returned to the seller.

Iirc, part of the reason that auth sales aren't allowed is that the sites that sell auths advertise of sythe, and they don't approve of their sale apart from official purchases. Asking the staff to moderate all auth trades is completely impractical, as is your suggestion for how they can be safely re-issued (who would want to surrender their email to a staff member simply to sell a few auth codes?).

 

Honestly I don't see this being implemented here on Sythe.
As the above poster stated advertisments is an issue. Another one I see is the lack of enthusiasm from staff towards more responsibilty that doesnt compensate for their time, even if they had a cut of the pie for MMing. Staff don't get paid for their time and adding more stuff to do for maybe 5% of a $10.00 auth doesnt sound realistic to me.
