RWT warning 6 days after purchase when might it be safe again?

As the title implies I was given a RWT warning 6 days after I purchased 3b from chicksgold. Traded shards, on a members world, but the account they traded from was lvl 3, I hadn't purchased gold or played rs3 in like 3 years so I wasn't aware of the apparent major crackdown on RWT. I had previously bought plenty of gold from a few different places, but that was years ago.

Obviously for the near future it'd be idiotic to buy again, but does anyone have an idea of how long to wait before it might be safe? Also, since I haven't played in so long do you have tips on how to make it as safe as possible? I spent basically all the gold I purchased asap since I did see where they were emptying peoples money pouches, I did not see where they were deleting items. Not my wisest move now that I think of it, but it had never been an issue in the past so I was naive.

I don't have the spare time to grind for the bills required for top gear, nor the bank acc to buy the amount of bonds required for even the 2nd best gear.

Tl;Dr How long after a rwt warning before it may be safe to buy again? What steps can I take to try and minimize the risk?

 

honestly, you just need to change your method. Maybe buy from a different supplier next time, or request that they use a higher level account. I'd avoid trading in lumb as well.

I'd wait at least a month before buying again, you were only given a warning. Put some time into the game buy some treasure keys and bonds maybe then buy some gold in a month using a different approach. Fuck jagex

 

I have spent a decent amount on coins, keys, and bonds thinking the same way. One thing that's always been obvious about Jagex is they loveeee their money.

 

Yeah thats where you went wrong, using chicksgold to buy gp. Rule #1, they've been around for a long time dont use websites to buy gp for both games. They use level 3's and have no high combat accounts at times to do most trades. And most of the time they trade in the sketchiest places. Plenty of other high reputable people on this forum to buy gp safely from that have no problems with customers buying bils daily or weekly. Good luck

I think it's because they get banned.

If I may comment regarding Chicksgold, I have traded with them once for a Discontinued Rare however I haven't been banned or even warned for RWT

This is despite the fact I did indeed trade with a Level 3 account like you mentioned and received a rare worth Billions, However the key difference is that I gave something in exchange for the rare

You see when I saw the Level 3 account sent to trade with me, I knew that there was a far greater chance of receiving a RWT warning or Ban especially since Chicksgold is such a popular supplier.

That's why I gave an item worth nearly 500 Million GP in value in exchange for the rare worth Billions. I believe this is what allowed me for avoid being banned given their system either registered the trade as normal or if a JMOD saw the transaction he/she assumed it to be legit.

However I don't recommend buying from popular sites like Chicksgold given the inherent risk involved. Perhaps my experience was an anomaly or Jagex doesn't track Rares trading (given how no one ever complains of being banned for trading Rares), but follow the advice given earlier in this thread

 

I've bought over 50b+ from chicksgold, and every time i buy a large amount I request them to use a high level account. If they cannot do that, I just go to a different supplier.

 

Avoid ChicksGold they got me detected fast and also RPGStash got me banned. So far I bought from someone and waiting to see if I get banned.

 

Larger amounts, common spots and high traffic level 3 mules are commonly banned.

If I got hit 2 months ago with a 3-day ban, is it now safe to buy gold again? I would only be buying about 125m on osrs. if not, what is a good way to buy 125m and transfer it onto my main account?

 

I would never like to say whats safe, Obviously with any trading there is always a risk.
However, I would think 125m on a non banned account would be fine, as long as not from high trafficing mules from the major gold sites or betting sites.

Yeah honestly just choosing a seller that trades from a high lvl account is also important.

And as Jarv said, can keep a mule and transfer small amounts like that if you are so paranoid.

Also like everyone say... If the trader uses a low level, refuse and find another seller.

Most important though, look at the rep of the seller. I know there are sellers litterly without bans.

 

I got my main 2100 total level banned selling to chicksgold.

Must be the volume chicksgold deals with that alot of their customers are getting banned or their easily tracked.

Anyone else i deal with i never get banned.

 

I did this before and my mule account AND my main both got warnings/suspensions for it. How can they prove that it wasn't a friend just giving another friend some gold? I don't buy gold frequently, so its not like my mule would be on the radar for moving gold. I can't stand Jagex. RWT is fine as long as you do it through them, spending an exorbitant amount on their bonds and keys and shit. Ridiculous. Jagex is a bunch of sweaty mouth breathers with too much power.
