    I have a few questions about VPS's:

    Which VPS provider do you use?
    * Is it any good?
    * Is there any down-time?
    * How long have you been using that VPS company?
    * Does your VPS kill the java process (randomly kill the NeXus client).
    * Any addition Info.

    If you could answer any / all of the above questions, I'd really appreciate it.

    EDIT:

    I currently have VPS's from both Virpus, and PhotonVPS, both kill the java (randomly kill the NeXus client).

    I am currently using : http://www.photonvps.com/xen.html
    WARP 2

    I used hazenet.co.uk.

    *From my experience it was of good quality.
    *I only had probably 1-2 period where there was downtime for a few minutes (that i noticed)
    *I only used it for 2 months, however the second time wasn't for rs needs
    *I never experienced any times when it randomly closed the neXus client
    *atm they have a 30% off deal so you could probs get a vps for $5-$9ish

    Do bots from rsbots.net work on a VPS? Or do people only ever use nexus?

    You have to put all the global settings to as low as they can go.

    Onto your problem Rsprod, just a tip, NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER x 10^infinity buy from virpus. I have had so many negative experiences from there.

    PhotonVPS is actually quite good. I bought their 10.95 VPS (OpenVZ) and java processes never got killed. Unfortunately, that VPS could only use 1 bot..if I used more it would lag. So I began looking for a new VPS today. I went to PhotonVPS and asked them about upgrading my VPS to the 20.95 VPS and they said if my reason for wanting a refund (if the vps kills java processes) is the java thing..they would not refund me.

    PhotonVPS live support said that if I use too many java processes, the java WILL automatically close. I wasn't really using that much on the 10.95 vps which is why it never crashed on me.

    So photonVPS is out, rsbotvps was also off my lift (since they only accept alertpay) so I went to botvps.com. I actually just ordered their $25 VPS and should recieve my ip and other info within 15 hours.
    Link: http://botvps.com/
    The owner of botvps has a thread on rsbotting.com (perfecticus' website). Link: http://forums.rsbotting.com/showthread.php?14302

    One thing to note: I took a big chance buying the $25 vps from botvps. I previously purchased the $8 VPS from them and it sucked ASS. It was so extremely slow so right when I got the $8 vps..I just stopped using that VPS and immediately switched to photon and got the $10.95 vps which is ALOT faster and is actually worth my money.

    I will post an update on how the $25 VPS is for me if you want when I get the info.
