Are they banning players that buy gold now?

I remember in the past they used to just ban the gold sellers for the most part.

Are they banning people who are buying gold to play the game with now? Seems like what I've read here is that RWT bans are ramping up. Is this affecting the average person who just buys gold to have better gear at raids or train skills, or is it just the sellers and people who sell services?

Any experience with what's been going on recently let me know, trying to figure out if I should cash out all my gold on my account or not. Don't feel like losing $1500. I bought the gold over a couple months time period if that matters.

 

they have always been banning gold buyers/sellers, pretty rare to get banned as buyer though.

 

Bans towards buyers have existed since forever. You just don't hear much about them because they're exceedingly rare.

 

Personally ive brought and sold gold loads of times and had no issues at all man

 

Buyers are less likely to get banned. However I heard they started more focusing on buyers aswell.

 

I've been banned on a 2K+ total main account before that had never sold. Bought less than 150M on a single transaction. Odds are you wouldn't get banned, but there's always a risk.

 

Getting banned for buying gold is extremely rare. I can count on the fingers of one hand the times I've seen that happen in the last several years. Nothing has changed recently.

 

They've always threatened it and its happened to few but you gotta be careful who you buy gold from i guess.

 

They have done this since the beginning of RuneScape. I'd say best shot to buy gold is try to buy it locally from someone in the same city as you, or use some duelarena/pvp methods to transfer the gold over.

 

always a risk. Especially if it's from a flagged IP. Best bet is a clanmate or someone on your friends list
