    Recovery Questions & Jagex's Brain!

    Hi..

Recently I've bought an account from this site I like, last time I bought one from here it..let's just say they recovered it. I thought to myself - Maybe it was just THAT seller, I don't want to get scammed again but I'll try..

I know that Jagex will reset your Recovery Questions if you E-Mail them and say the correct thing! But how; if it's not my account?? >.> I can't just say "I bought the account" as that is against their rules and they would most likely hammer me hard for this.

Anything that'll help me jupe Jagex will be well appreciated! Also, does this link for the E-Mail resetting portion of this still work?; http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=879810

I tried that once; they replied and said I wasn't the original creator, and that they were going to remove all my information off the account.

this won't help you, what jagex does is a soft reset the very original recoveries etc. will still work. so unless you ask for the account to be 100% wiped and can provide 100% proof you're the original owner of the account there is still a good chance the account will get recovered.

Jagex also ocassionally restore your account to a previous password and recovery status if they think you are account hijacking/rwting.

(happened to me more than 5 times).

Well advice is quite easy : Next time buy account from more trusted seller, who will for sure help you to recover it back ,if you get hacked or lost details."

There is not much you can do now. You can keep trying to recover it,until it gets locked.

I was in a similar situation before. I tried several hundreds of times to recover my account, and eventually I got it back. But not after literally hundreds of attempts.

The FireFox add-on 'iMacros' is very useful for this. It will save the filled-out recovery form as a macro, so the next time you try to recover it, you simply play the recorded macro and it will auto-fill the recovery form for you.

Keep recovering it though. I'm willing to say, if you keep at it you will probably eventually get it -- assuming you know a good amount of recovery details.

If you have your Email set to the account you can remove them by your self.
By locking the account and then unlock it.
