[rwt] Am I in the clear?

Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place or if this subject isn't open for discussion, but I've just found this site and there is an overwhelming amount of information to trawl through so I'm just going with my instincts here.

I've been playing RS on and off for the last 9 years or so on the same account, even though it's not a very high level account even after all this time I'm really attached to it because I've had it since I was a kid, and now I'm grown up, have a family, house, job etc...

Well 6 months ago I decided to log in again and thought what would be the harm in buying 10mil off one of these goldfarming websites just to give me a helping hand? So I did a bunch of quests, started power levelling some stats and then became bored of the game again.

Today I decided to give RS another go for the first time in 6 months and was quite frankly, surprised that my account wasn't banned after learning about how seriously Jagex take rwt nowadays.

So my question is, before I buy another months membership, is my account more than likely safe now after all this time? Or is there any anecdotal evidence to suggest that Jagex ban accounts several months down the line after rwt has taken place?

It will be unlikely if you get banned. Jagex doesn't have the resources to monitor every single player. They are mainly focused on the full-time gold farmers.

I hope so, thanks for the reassurance guys. I wouldn't be losing anything huge in terms of money or even time invested (highest skill is like 64 fishing lol) but I guess that account has a lot of sentimental value to me. I've got a chicken suit, zombie head, yoyo and a bunch of other stuff on there, I'm just kicking myself that I traded a bunch of santa hats for full rune sets back in the day when they're worth so much real cash today

 

I'd say you're 100% clear from 6-months ago. But if you're planning on buying more, definitely do your research, and stay clear of the mass-goldfarming, Chinese sites (usfine, gold4fun, etc.).

I'd suggest buying on playerauctions.

 

Your more than safe lol I highly doubt there's going to be anything happening to your account

 

You should have no worries for 2 reasons.
#1 The trade is so little,they only care about people that move billions per day
#2 The time that has passed is over when you would banned

 

10m is nothing. You'll be fine.
They generally target the sellers.

 

If you bought 10M over 6 months ago, you will definitely be in the clear. Jagex is only targeting the big boys, people buying/selling billions of GP spread around dozens of accounts and making big money off their game. Buying 10M here and there, especially so long ago, wouldn't hurt you at all (unless you were caught buying it ingame by a mod or something).

 

Jagex doesn't pursue buyers, only the sellers that are profiting off of their game. Also you are only RWT once every 6 months by the sound of it, and your account is very old so I can almost guarantee you have nothing to worry about.

 

You are 98% in the clear my friend. People buy gold every day from large gold selling websites, and I can assure you, a lot more than 10M!

However, if you are worried, perhaps try using a mule?
Buy the gold and get the seller to trade with your mule, then drop the cash somewhere very isolated, and then grab it on the account you want.
You could also try staking it to transfer it
(Instead of trading across because that's a little more obvious)

I sold alot more than that, and never got one main banned. They did some other think though but you don't have to worry if you dont buy/sell daily.

 

99% chance that you wont get banned lol ive traded at least 500m and still no ban

 

Jagex doesn't really care about the small real world traders, don't worry

 

Just what I heard but apparently Jagex bans on the 28th day of the six month so I'm not sure...
