Running Multiple Rsbots/Powerbots

Does anyone know how to run several rsbot clients effectively?

In the past rsbot had no limitation as to the amount of clients a user is allowed, letting us open unlimited rsbot clients to hold as many rs accounts as we needed and to decrease lag.
Now it only supports 2 rs account per client and will not allow another client to open. 2 accounts total.

I've learned one method:

You're capable of running 1 client per windows account. Make another windows accounts, and register 2 rsbot accounts, then run the two rsbots on each windows user.
2 bots per client, 1 client per windows user. [I tested on windows7] .

It works, but it's less than ideal since bot maintenance is tedious, not to mention the extra ram it must require to run an extra windows user(s).

People have mentioned using Sandboxie, however I haven't had any success.

Would some sort of proxy be an answer? If so, source please!

im not at home to see if it will work but try using shift + right click on powerbot after you have created your windows accounts and use the run as different user command, this will speed up your problem but really start - switch user + 1 click isn't really too difficult you can even use task manager to switch quickly between accounts.

 

It's actually really easy, you just need to make three .bat files (Place them and the RSBot JAR in the same folder

The first one here will create a new Admin User with the name "RSBot" and password 1234. Name is "Acc.bat"

Create another one named "BotLauncher.bat" and add the following code (this one will run the bot):

The second one call "Run.bat" and add the following code:

runas /user:RSBot "LOCATION OF FIRST BAT FILE"

Now simply open "run.bat" and enter the password 1234 and a new RSBot window will pop-up, allowing you to have more than two tabs w/o buying VIP (I would recommend buying VIP and supporting the developers, I just figured this out in 5-10 minutes because I was bored and wanted to see if it was possible).

Dumb question... but for the Run.bat do I need to download rsbot on the user account 'RSBot' and specify that location?

 

Make sure the location and etc is fine. You just need it all in one folder (you do not need to login to the other user at any point, just type its password in cmd when required). It uses the runas command, here is some more info on it if you typed in the wrong location etc http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/runas.mspx?mfr=true. If you still cannot get it to work tell me the error and I will find a fix for you

 

I get the page coming up and asks me for a password, I put in 1234 it just closes and does nothing.

 

it should work if everything is in the same folder and you changed the .bat files to the correct location

it wont work, if you are not running it as administrator
