They are at 6.9m at the moment, I see people selling them for 07 gp, I guess that makes it profitable. But say someone bought 250 of them right now @
    1,727,897,000 coins
then held them and sold them when they raised again, would it be worth it? I hear once bought on g.e. you have to pay 10% again to sell them back?? Or would it be better to sell them for 07gp afterwards?

    lets say 1 bond = 7m eoc.
If a person bought 100 of them, he would spend 700M EOC.

If he had to resell them when they raise (let's say 8m, for an example), the owner would have to pay 10% GE value per bond to make them all tradable.

meaning the total cost would be 700m eoc + 80M = 780M total.
Afterwhich he could sell them for 8m each (because they're tradable) for 800m.

    Making a whopping profit of 20m eoc/ 6$.

    this ofcourse is an example.

    ------------------------

    Let's take selling for 07.
Apart from the fact that there are hundreds of people selling and alot of competition, let's say you're the one with most sales.

    again just for example,
    1 bond = 7m
you decide to buy 100 bonds for 700m + pay 70m to make them all tradable
so a total investment of 770M

now 1 bond is around 1-1.2m 07 depending on the seller.
    1m X 100 = 100M 07
    1.2m x 100 = 120m 07

    so around 100-120m 07
And taking an average exchange rate of 7.7 (just averaged to the top 5 threads of swapping threads by gold sellers)

it would be equivalent to 770m eoc - 924m eoc.

now to just make things clear, I'm neither a bond seller nor gold swapper, so all the information i took is from a couple of threads in their respective section. the reason the bond prices for 07 change so much is due to the ge value of bonds changing on a day-to-day basis.

if anyone wants to correct me in my examples feel free to do so.

Damn thanks for the massive amount of detail, highly useful to read through all of that and gives gives good insight on the topic!
I might try to just hold onto a few of them or try the 07 method. Tempting but margin seems low for the time period :/

Uhhh...... your first scenario isnt accurate.... If you were really investing in bonds, you'd obviously convert them into to tradable the second you bought them off the GE when the price is low, then just resell it later

I tend to buy some at moments where bonds seem very useful to me on large scale, for example RuneFest or when premier membership was announced. Never used them for those things though, I always resell and make a decent profit for basically doing nothing

It still doesnt drastically increase the amount of profit made.

It would be profitable depending on when you sell them, you know Jagex there is no way they will go a year without some treasure hunter crap, with double key weekend or something completely stupid or more cosmetics, then people buy them up and the prices rise. I honestly dont know why bonds arnt 20m ea everyone uses them for membership there must be a lot of kids with their dads credit cards to keep them at the price there at atm.
