Myself, Hate people who bot, ik I'm gonna get a lot of haters.

Tell me... WTF is the point in getting 99 in a skill, or botting, when you reach your "goal" its no achievment at all, you put no effort in and cheated, there are people with the same stats as you but actually played, don't play the "I have a life" card, I play RS 1-2 hours a day, and still have a level 116, 2 99's (cooking & magic), both legit.

Respect to the minority of non botters, for not ruining the game.

 

Because you can sell the account for moneys =P I'm joking, some people don't like the work, I mean can you imagine getting 99 dungeoneering, it would take an age if your legit, so some people see it as a quick/ easy method.

 

I 100% agree with you, I hope that the 98% of the botters do get busted.
I have an 114 main with 11 99's all archieved by myself, I can only play 1h sometime 2n my pc, I just have this account for 6years.

 

I couldn't give a fuck less about some random, meaningless 99 such as firemaking, which is why I don't bot that skill. I bot skills such as Ranged, Magic, Strength, Attack, etc. Not only to reach a "goal," but to reach a desired skill so that I can PK efficiently with those skills. I find that an achievement, because I've achieved a skill level that I would otherwise not have achieved, and can put that skill to the test by using it in the wilderness.

 

Yeahh I agree. Way too many bots.

I am happy that Jagex is finally deciding to knuckle down on bots. I don't really mind people who bot skills for themselves, but those who have multiple accounts to farm gold are going too far. If this update gets rid of goldfarmers then I'm for it.

Botters were alright I was one of them back in 06 bots barely affected people but it is mainly because of the gold farmers that use

 

I kinda agree, though when a bot shows off, or boasts, its annoying.

 

Cooking and Magic are two of the easiest 99's to get >_>
And most botters don't do it for the "achievement", rather for making money.

 

I do it because:

1. I want 99 strength to PK with.

2. I want 94 magic to barrage with.

I wouldn't otherwise get those skills. I don't bot meaningless skills, I do the skills that benefit me.

 

Most people only bot the skills to PK or stake. Either that, or they're in it for the money.

 

Then they should work for it, not bot.

 

Isn't that a bit hypocritical of you? Considering that, based off of your vouches, you have bought gold before?

 

This is how I think of it: why spend hours at the computer training, when I could just turn on the bot and go out? A 99 is a 99; that's how I think of it.

 

You also have the two of the easiest 99s.

Some people make money of off botting, either by selling gold, creating level 3s with a few thousand zeal, or creating other types of accounts.

Some just want to have more then one account and don't want to have train all of them so they have a bot do it for them.

Think about it like this: Honestly, what do you gain from spending your time achieving a skill legit on an online game? A sense of accomplishment for 5 minutes..? Sure, it feels good to have accomplished it, but either way, I just want the skill, I don't care how I get it.
