combat update thread - how do you feel?

i know there is an offical one, but i'd just like a little discussion in here to get a more personal view from you guys

i'll start. horrible. firstly, who could possibly want this? i've grown up with runescape, obviously it was much more exciting through the eyes of a 12 year old boy, spending all night at castle wars and putting hours and hours into leveling, but i still don't want to see it die. i enjoy playing runescape as it is, yeah it's pretty obvious the game has died alot from the 2005 and can't compete visualy with the likes of warcraft, but come on, it is what it is; a browser which has always been enjoyably simple. i personally think this will destroy it, for me atleast

how do you feel? if you for example want the combat beta, why? :'(

OT: People say they will quit and they don't like it, but in reality there not going to quit. Most of them are just complaining because there afraid of change. if 5% of the population left i would be surprised. Im almost positive like half the people who don't want it, haven't even played the beta.

EDIT: Not to mention that the beta is event done yet, They just put quests and some more things in.

 

I'm really disappointed they've decided to change something that works, and has worked fine for years. They could have put the time into making new skills/mechanics that would appeal to new players too.
I'm even more against it considering that i'm now making a 1 def pure..

 

It might work. it just sucks that all of our pures that we put alot of time into are wasted. you can still make a pure with the EOC but we will have all failed pures. lol Fagex GG

OT: It's a beta, no one can feel anything about it because its a beta.

 

I feel like we should all suck it up and try out the game. If it's bad, quit. Don't keep crying about it.

 

its just not faiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiir.

i love the simple, yet brilliant game. great for boring days. just feel like it'll be ruined completly seriously, jagex have without a doubt made a mistake.

im guessing if they didn't put loads of time and money into it, with the player feedback they'd have scraped it.
