runescape v world of warcraft

that's why I'll never play WOW, its a drug.

I like WoW - some of the people are great. You get an ocassional raging nerd, but apart from that, contrary to common belief, there are a lot of really nice people out there. You just have to find some of the guilds that are for having a good time rather than raiding etc. and then you start to have more social fun.

It's great.

Runescape, on the other hand, is interesting to a certain degree, but I find that, due to there being so many botters nowadays, and 12 year old scammers it's no longer a viable source of fun. :S

 

I think It's fun, you can make huge sums of money from it too.

 

RuneScape, because it's more understandable while World of Warcraft is complicated.

 

Runescape. Never try WoW.

 

Wow is by far the superior game, no questions asked. However, i don't have enough time to commit to it these days. Yes, commit. WoW isn't fun unless you're at max level and raiding/pvping.

In my old guild, we would raid a minimum of 16 hours a week. MINIMUM.

 

wos is boring untill maxed only thing that it has over rs is the graphics ive played them both nearly maxed rs and all done on wow

Rs is miles better but wow is a great game but its daunting when u first start

id reccomend rs though

tbh i rather pay 20 USD for 3 months compared to same price for about 1 month... constant updates would be annoying to keep up with too..

 

I think WoW is better but I prefer RS... Never really played WoW just because of the cost of subscription per month and all the rest

I dont like the cost of WOW, thats the main reason i dont play, but i do enjoy playing both games.

 

Runescape because It's a lot cheaper. enough said.

WoW was one of the games I played for at least 3 years when I stopped playing runescape. I like runescape way better though.

The BEST thing about WoW, is the PvP action.
The PvP is so live, there's no turns or anything, not like runescape.
I just loved running arround as a warlock, and sending a fat ass fucking shadow ball at some undergeared kid and blasting him into the fuckin ground.

PvPing on WoW is sooo fun, especially when you're max'd out on PvP and Arena gear, because then when you're put up against anyone your level you can basically blast them to pieces.

But Runescape is more fun for everything but PvP.
I'm not a huge fan of runescape PvP, but runescape PvP is better than WoW because in runescape you actually risk losing all your items, which I would say is more realistic. But the whole turn-based fighting part of runescape really takes out alot. Not to mention the new overpowered sword bullshit, that thing is sooo gay.

 

having played runescape ~3 years (82 main 5+ pkers) and WoW about the same (3 level 85's) on and off, Ide have to say i enjoyed WoW a lot more. Theres always something going on and new stuff to get. And although its repetitive in ways, its not nearly as dull as RS.

RS is fun at times but no where near as good as WoW. PvP = so much more epic PVE = so so so much more epic...

Blizzard does rape you in the bum something chronic though. Classic + BC + LK + Cata ?! close to $150 just to get it installed. Worth it though

RS has gone up and is around $13 a month too if im not mistaken. So not much different in the upkeep. (if you want to compare WoW to F2P thats just a lost cause)

price isn't $13, It's different for different payment methods. I pay $5/month.

RS is getting more and more popular and Jagex are constantly improving the game.

Wow is a better game, by far. More content, a better storyline, better graphics. I do enjoy playing runescape every once in a while though.

 

Not going to lie, i dropped enough of my life into RS to get sucked into another serious MMORPG.. im sort of hoping D:III is shit for this exact reason.

 

Having played both, having gotten 1 maxed main and a near maxed pure/zerker on runescape, as well as 3 85's on WoW, I do actually prefer WoW. Runescape is fun for hybriding but that's about all the enjoyment i get out of it, and in WoW, I can always get on my rogue and stealth in their main cities, and simply ambush the low levels 1 hitting them over and over, luls, as well as raiding, arenas, battlegrounds, and quests... Story line is much better, quests are more interactive, graphics are exponentially better, etc...

Overall they are two different games, and can both be played as such, depending on what you like.
