how to become one?

always wondered.

 

I got mine from always acting responsible and being helpful on forums, it's not something you can aim for its something you fall into.

There are a lot of minor factors that determine becoming a mod or not, your gameplay, knowledge in the game, respect for others, understanding the rules (reporting people for proper broken rules, not misguided offenses).

 

i heard you just have to be kind,respectful and dont break the rules and be helpful to others do i think its true no but thats what i heard

 

Don't get any black marks on any account on your IP, help people out, and be nice.

 

Just be yourself. I'm not saying you should go around doing the occasional 'bad thing'(if it's your normal routine), but don't feel like you have to go around being a 'goody goody' either.

It does help a little to try to be a good impact on the community in general though.

 

Just be a normal player who helps out others while being active on the forums.

 

I became a player moderator around january. Just be yourself and report any player abusing the rules, treat the people with respect and be active in the forums

Personally, it's seriously not worth it anymore. Jagex are getting way to strict on shit and started demoting people for stupid shit which started around 2010.

Getting it is a bit like here, follow the rules, behave yourself, report what breaks the rules, but most importantly, be yourself.

 

As far as I know, Jagex have not been recruiting new pmods since last year and were supposed to start doing it again this spring/summer. Not aware if it has started yet but when it does, you can get picked if your account doesn't have password issues (you sending appeals) and blackmarks matter too.

 

This is true, Jagex will not promote you to a p1 if you have any account instabilities; previous account locks, hijacking threads, attempted/successful recoveries.
