is d bow spec or hand cannon spec better to rush with?

title says it all, im 99 range. my question is, is it better to dbow spec or hand cannon spec? after shooting ice barrage of course.

 

I wouldn't recommend using ice barrage, use blitz if you're going to use a magic attack at all. Why you might ask? Blitz doesn't show up immediately like barrage does. So once you spec, then your damage from d bow or hc will stack on top of your blitz/ Plus, the mage level req is lower than barrage so you'll h ave a higher chance of getting a good hit with blitz instead of with barrage.

Personally, I prefer d bow, has the chance to KO someone with 99 hp when using void, prayers, etc. I've tried HC but never fully understood how to rush with the spec or even use the spec in general so I guess I'm kind of biased.

But, when BH crater was around, I had a lot of luck using full void + d bow, blitz, then d bow spec. I also had 99 range, got me a lot of kills.

 

Hand cannon is slower than dark bow. Target has time to pray.
Hand cannon hits higher than dark bow overall. When frozen, and you're venged, they're pretty much fucked.
Hand cannon can explode. This should only affect one kill every so often.
The dark bow only has it's successful special attack. The hand cannon hits high in succession.

Whatever you draw together from that, all factors in mind, I'd say go with the hand cannon.

Just an addition to that adept summary, if you are siding with the hand cannon you should make sure you have decent Firemaking as I have heard that the higher your firemaking is the less it explodes on you.

 

what do you mean by "venged"

 

When you are under the effect of the vengeance spell which basically reflects some of the damage you receive from your next hit back onto them also
