Account recovery power

Hi all,

I'm starting to outsource a lot of account building.
Just wondering, if i create the account on the RS homepage and log in just once (not even starting nor finishing tutorial island), I 100% hold recovery power and the service provider doesn't - correct?

Do i even have to log into the game, or does the RS website log your IP on creation?

Any experienced help is very much appreciated, thanks!

 

They log your ISP and IP on creation of the account, you don't need to login to it in-game no. ISP, Creation IP, and first set password will be your strongest tool for recovery.

 

Very incorrect, you will be able to recover it, but they will be able to do so as well. I had this problem around a year ago, there is a 100% chance if you make a fresh account and throw it to an account provider that they will be recover it as well.

Think of it as every step you take. Data is being recorded. Of course you have to login atleast once. Someone like me that sells names. You have to login atleast once if you want to keep the name if its a f2p acc otherwise after 6 months the name will be removed on the account. Poor example? maybe but its the same concept. As long as you have the correct creation date, where you created the account at, and earliest password used for the account you hold 100% recovery. If anything create a new account right then just simply change the password a 2nd time and give the person that provides services the 2nd password whilst you still know the 1st password and they dont. Simple really. hope that clears things up. @Cherub

 

That is mostly correct, but they may still be able to recover the account.

 

If you wanted to make sure they could never recover it:

Create Account > IP
Login > IP
Make sure their ISP is different > They check the ISP it was created on.
Hold the original email > Undisputed (Make sure to keep it active 90 - 360 days depends on provider)
Pay 1 Month member ship via card > Transaction Code
Change the pass word 3 Times before you let someone use it > Recovery requires 3 earliest passwords.


If they only have access to

User
Password (4th+)
Creation date (If they check Hans)

I doubt they would ever be able to recover it.
