Runescape Gold Payment Settlement Should Migrate to USDT via TRON

The RS Gold industry has become increasingly dependent on BTC for payment settlement, which is cool in some ways but terrible in others. The downsides of BTC can be fixed by switching to using USDT via TRON (or a similar stablecoin which is highly liquid and has virtually 0 fees & fast sends).

Whenever people quote a price for RSGP, it is in USD. However, they then expect to be paid in BTC. This creates inefficiencies because you are trying to pay in a different currency than what was agreed in the contract, plus that currency is highly volatile. It can create a multitude of problems. People can feel ripped off by the agreed rate, the BTC price can change drastically even before the transaction confirms, or later on. On top of that, confirmation times and sending fees are high on BTC network.

USDT via TRON (not ERC20 which has similar congestion issues) is the solution. Many popular exchanges support funding through USDT x TRON, including:

    - Binance
    - Bitfinex
    - Poloniex
    - Huobi
    - Many more

To clarify the advantages of USDT via TRON:

    - Fast Confirmations
    - Zero Fees
    - Stable to USD
    - Highly liquid cryptocurrency
    - Supported on multiple Tier A crypto exchanges

So next time you're doing an RSGP trade via crypto, try suggesting USDT via TRON to your counterparty and link them this post. It really is just as simple as sending a BTC transaction, without any exchange rate complexity or network congestion. You can always trade the USDT for BTC on a crypto exchange later on if you want the price exposure to BTC. Cheers and good luck trading.
