Is Jagex complicit with bottling/rwt?

Obviously Jagex bans accounts for bottling and rwt daily, but I’ve spoken to many in the community who have been playing for years and have never been banned for botting, buying gold, accounts etc...(myself included)

Are we just playing smart with our rule breaking or is jagex to a certain extent complicit? I feel like they know some accounts are botting training or buying gold, but see them as harmless compared to nore nefarious methods like actually selling gold rather than buying, or botting for gold rather than for stats.

What’s your opinion on this?

 

I believe that like you say it depends on the scale at which its done at, also as for botting i believe certain ways of botting needs to have reports going in because there bot detection is pretty shit. As for buying accounts they let account sharing become the norm so that could be simple as house moves or lending someone the account

 

Jagex are really weird imo with bans/mutes/account locks etc

Botting from what i know from years of playing is that they come in waves they give it 1-2 weeks after people have botted in most cases from what i've seen of peoples past posts and experiences

I feel they know about stakers that RWT too and as stupid as it sounds i feel like they do actually put something like a % w/l rate on stakers accounts such as live streamers, i've seen them go on 20 loss streaks which i think is unexplainable to say that say it's 50/50 maybe i'm being stupid about it but i've never lost 20 in a row no where near barely lost 5 in a row with 1k+ stakes.

I think this kinda stops RWT from happening by kinda cleaning them out but maybe thats just a conspiracy theory, with RWT I kinda feel like it doesn't really effect the game THAT much unless you're buying stupid amounts of gp like billions and billions because obviously thats insane for a game where you can have 100m and it be enough for a long time

I think RWT should be allowed for lazy people

I think botting shouldn't be allowed really

That's just my opinion i guess but i do think Jagex let people get away with a lot more than they should ^^

 

I have lost 32 in a row in the past, but also won 19 in a row i think staking is a massive numbers game

 

Yeah i think it's disgusting that you could even lose that many times it's insane...

 

I don’t think they tolerate it. I just think their systems are more prone to catch people that conduct RWT in ways different to others. I received a perm ban for selling a couple hundred dollars worth of GP, and I’m not a big buyer/seller of GP. Had plenty of accounts banned for botting too. Some are just less detectable, etc.
