I bought a few Santa Hats at about 118m couple weeks ago, they went up to about 145m last week and now they've dropped back down to 122m, should I sell them or wait? Just worried prices will drop when EoC comes.

 

i think you should sell them tbh before you lose a lot more.

 

A lot of people are panic selling because of EoC, you should do it as well.

I'd sell. I remember around this time last year I tried to merchant 77 santa hats and failed miserably lol. I forget what update it was that screwed it up.

I always thought Santa hats went up around Christmas.. but with the EoC, it's hard to tell. I'd personally take the risk, considering if everyone else is panic dumping, there won't be a lot of people selling x item which means more gp/item.

 

Not a chance, raw materials and armor are more important than rares at this time.

Don't waste your time, sell it, that's what I already did.

 

Santa hats went up around Christmas when they were relevant items. There was never anything in the range of 100m+ worth buying. Ever since they introduced extremes, turmoil, spirit shields, and other high-end expensive items, the demand for rares plummeted. Since rare trading is now a more obscure art, their prices are much more strongly based on manipulation than any other dates.

Curiously, the RWT price of rares stays relatively constant. The strongest influencer to price has been the RWT value of GP. Say, just hypothetically, that a santa is worth $100 and GP is worth $.50. That would mean a santa is $100/$.5=200m. Now if GP rises to $.70/m, a Santa would crash down to $100/$.7=142m. The relationship isn't perfect, but it's curious that when GP drops, rares rise; and when GP rises, rares drop.

 

why don't you just keep like 2 or something.

 

Going by what experienced trades such as KMJT said, I'd sell them off. Purely for experimental purposes, you could keep one, and see the outcome. Never know, you might profit.
