New Pker help

So, I havent played Runescape since the big HD update last year. I kinda want to start back on a new account.

Since I've always been a skiller (used to make supplies and sell to pkers cheap when they had wildy), I don't have much pk experience. I need some help making a new pker.

Maybe a few of you skilled pkers could help me answer these questions.

I think if you tell people want type of PKing you want to do..P2P or F2P, i believe there's a large difference in stats.

up to you either of those will own in f2p

Probably want to make a range/rune 2her cause they own in pking.

* What levels should I train?

For a F2P Pker

Mage - is very useful at lower levels (20s), No point in getting mage any higher than 59 in F2p (Unless you're going straight to 85 for teleblock)

Range - is optional, Range|2h is very successful in F2P (Range, Scim, 2h is even better IMO, but yeah), I wouldnt reccommend training just range because I can ensure you will find it very difficult to KO anyone.

Attack - Enough for the weapon you wish to use, (1, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40) - Only train to 40 for rune. Unless you really really really want to try corrupt dragon weps.

Strength - As high as possible

Mining - Bot rune ess overnight for moneyzzzz

* How far should I train them?

40 attack
Highest str level possible
59 mage
Past 40 attack and 40 or so str, try and keep your range levels 5-10 levels higher than your str.

* What is a good combat level for a PKer?

40's is where it really starts for F2P pkers (because you can actually start doing more damage than lobsters can heal, effectively), but any level is good for pking really..

* Range, Mage, or Melee?

Mage for 20s

Range for 30s and Mid 40s

Melee for the rest imo

* Pking Tips?

If you're just looking for a build to train up to though and pk with, lukef555's first build, would be great, you'd be in your mid 40's by then too.

 

So, I think I am going to make a R2h'r.

Atk: 40
Str: 60
Range: 60
Def: 1 (ofc)

and get some skills in so I dont have to buy everything.

Should I get any mage for any useful spells?

 

Don't bother with mage, unless you want the teleports and bind. If you do the highest you will need for all f2p teleports is 37 I'm pretty sure.

I have 59 mage on my f2p pure though, just to have fun with def noobs and stuff

 

Alright, now I just need to get a name and start learning to pk.

 

If I was you, I'd personally quit for good because it's an addictive game.
Experiment with 4 letters to get a 4 letter name, get a good bot & then in my opinion, get up your strength and attack to 40 then continue raising your strength to 60 or 70. Get 13 prayer and you're set?
Auto some essence for money.

40 attack
65 strength
70 range
1 PRAYER
40ish Mage.

Lmao some of the suggestions here are terrible.

For F2P you need:
40 Attack
80+ Strength
1 Defence
1 Prayer
1 Magic
75+ Range

 

How are your suggestions any different from other people's suggestions? Your just a higher cb version of the previously mentioned stats without prayer and no magic.
