UPDATES

- Moved the events calendar from the sidebar to above the chatbox for increased visibility. It also has been extended to show events up to 14 days out (up to 5 at a time).
- The store should be fully functional. You can purchase ranks and your future rank purchases are pro-rated so you don't have to worry about losing value. Purchases can be made via PayPal or you can load your Account Credit (still uses PayPal).
- The forums are still getting tweaked as far as categories. StickTalk has been reworking them to be simplified so we don't have too much bloat until we get more traffic. Once we kind of see our target community we can expand into more in-depth categories.​

WHAT'S TO COME

- Working on getting an animated banner to use for referrals. It will be available to all members and anybody that signs up through it will be tied to your account as a referral. There will also be just standard referral links. ANY PURCHASES FOR LIFE that they make through the RuneNexus store will earn you 15% commission. This is something that has never been easily accessible for RSPS owners and traders that I know of, so I'm pretty excited to see this work as a win-win for both parties. It helps us with advertising and it helps others with extra passive income. Commissions will automatically be applied to your account credit and you can request payouts after $25+. Currently we pay out by PayPal, Amazon Gift Card, or OSGP($1:1m ratio).

- Advertising is always a tough market for sites like this, so again I was looking for ways to make it more accessible for people. Obviously, nobody wants to bother advertising with us right now because we don't have an audience yet, however, I will be working on adding easy advertising sales right through the store for the header area, sidebar area, footer, and below topic posts. These will be priced according to desirability. Since we don't have traffic I decided to set these to be impression based limits. Impressions are incremented every time your ad is sent from the server when a user visits the site, so advertisers can take a little comfort that they are paying for actual ad loads rather than time-based periods. Advertisers will be able to go right to the store, upload their banner within the size specifications, and pay as long as there is space available. Their ad will be live in minutes! I liked this idea because it eliminates that tough spot for smaller groups to have to compete with out bidding big dogs. This route allows equal pricing for everyone regardless, and on a first come first server basis.​

I would like to give a quick shout out to our first moderator, StickTalk. StickTalk has a very strong status on Sythe and I was very happy to see he was interested in investing his time on RuneNexus while we're still fresh.

WHAT RUNE NEXUS AIMS FOR

Rune Nexus aims to provide a solid community where reputation and status are noted. RuneScape private servers are heavily rooted for Rune Nexus, however we wanted to also utilize that reputation factor to enable members to participate in a marketplace that promotes safer trades of digital goods and services while incorporating a plethora of resources to grow their brands and communities.


FEATURES AT A GLANCE

• Community calendar - schedule events for your server/business that everyone can see or RSVP for.
• Clubs - create a club for your server/business or just for socializing. You can even create exclusive paid clubs that require a subscription! (applies as an account credit that you request payout for)
• Aesthetics - we got it all; collect rep, unlock exclusive user bars from ranks, League of Legends ranks for content count, etc.
• (WIP) Discord - our Discord community is a work in progress, but the basics are functional at the moment.
• Awards - awards are given on a per-case basis to members that staff feel have adequately met the requirements to earn them. These are meant to be respectable and noted. Awards are displayed on profile pages and in the user information on their posts. (currently available awards: Veteran, Trusted, GFX Artist, Video Creator, Developer)
• Social media profile badges - let others connect to you with the click of a button. Icons display on your profile page and in your user information on posts.
• Raffle system - nothing draws attention like a giveaway. Use our raffle system to host automated public giveaways with coordination of staff (to protect against fraudulent giveaways). It can be anything from RS gold to get your site name out or maybe store credits on your RSPS!
