Rune Legacy...where 317's become a reality again

Today global drops have been added to Rune-Legacy. Many of you wonder, what is this "global drop" thing. I will explain below.

A global drop, is an item that spawns in a specific location, once you pick these items up they usually tend to respawn after a certain amount of time. In RuneScape, these are supported for many things which I will explain more in this next paragraph.

Why were they added? Are they really even needed on a RSPS or this server? Is this even useful?

Well, first, to explain if they are needed on any RSPS. Your answer is no. Global drops do not need to be added on any RSPS for someone to enjoy the game, but, if you want to gain a full experience and wish for more creative points of view when adding new content, these drops should provide useful.

Now, are these drops even useful? Your answer...YES! Pay attention to the tiniest detail, the smallest detail in-game can be part of a larger aspect. Not many people will notice the bigger impact to the server because of this, but it does affect gameplay. Did you guys know, that in Castle Wars if you have an explosive potion, you can explode a barricade? Many of you know this, because the potions are provided to you for use. But did you also know, that if you were to use a Tinderbox on a Barricade, instead of exploding, they will set to flames? I'd say that 60% of the community probably didn't know this, as the actual Tinderbox isn't provided in a Castle Wars game. This pretty much changes gameplay for all who play it.

Other News:

Spec Glitch

An important glitch has been fixed today which has been a burden to Rune-Legacy for a long time now. Finally I can say that you can no longer abuse spec switching, things like the "Dds spec glitch" or "Gmaul glitch" no longer work. Hopefully this balances out Pking for everyone and brings more of an active Pking to the community.

Some other things you should know

• - Armadyl has been added into the PkShop
• - Dark bow has been lowered from 50 to 30 points in the PkShop
• - Saradomin Sword has been lowered from 70 to 50 points PkShop
• - Black D'hide body bug has been fixed. (It no longer requires 10 defense)
• - Gilded Platebody now needs 40 defense to wear (commonly being used to Pk by level 3's)
• - Zammy, Guthix, Saradomin Armour all need 40 defense to wear (commonly being used to Pk by level 3's)

Hopefully these updates will get you guys all to start Pking again.

Some fixes that have been officially applied today.

• 
  Hiscores - You can officially play without deleted being on Hiscores. Some people were being deleted after 2b exp, I tested it out and I remained on the Hiscores even with 6b+ xp

• Spirit Shield - They all were given a defense and prayer level requirement same as on RuneScape. If you wish to know what levels you need to wear it, visit this page: http://runescape.wik...i/Spirit_shield

• Spirit Shield - They now protect over some items. (Check which items by going into your items on death)

• Gates - Chicken and Cow gate in Lumbridge can now open. (These are required for Quests)

• Duel Arena bug - You used to be able to log out during a duel, then when you logged back in you remained in the Duel Arena. After logging out of a duel, you are now removed and placed outside the arena

• Pest Control log out bug - Logging out in Pest Control then logging back in means your client would freeze and you'd have to reload it. This is fixed

• DragonFireShield - Donator shield not properly protecting you from a fire. Fixed

• Berserker Helm - Requires 45 defense now instead of 40 (like on RuneScape)

• Black D'Hide Bodies - Requres 40 defense and not 1.

• Initiate Armour - Requires 10 prayer aswell as the defense requirements

• PvP Armour - All PvP armour have been given their requirements (Vesta, Statius, Zuriel)
