Need help hosting my server

Just yesterday i got bored and decided i'd like to try out creating a private server just for me and my brother to play on when we're bored, and just play around with and learn a lil bit about java.

I've followed tutorials on runelocus on how to create a server and edit it, but when it comes to port forwarding and setting my server online so my brother to connect, i am completely clueless. When i port forward my server, it always uses my real IP, rather than my no-IP, which i already have downloaded and up. Is there any way I can make it so it uses my no-ip? I'm running a special router if that makes a difference, but i'm still baffled on how i'm supposed to make it my own no-ip show up rather than my custom IP.

If someone could please help me, i'd appreciate it.
