[DENIED] Rule Reform

I don’t see anything wrong with this. I doubt it’ll prevent anyone from actually doing it, but some preventative measures can’t hurt.

 

This should be polled, seems to have garnered significant community support.

 

I support this. nobody should not be allowed to dox any individual at any time of life. Let alone we are all apart of a market against the rules of jagex and scamming is common in the place we are at. I've already been scammed 2 times within 4 deals and would not consider taking any further action to that person as i myself decided to put myself in that situation. We all take risks but taking it any further to leak people's life's online is ludicrous

 

Didn't read all the comments but isn't this already the case? If I saw someone leaking someone's dox or whatever I'd remove it, no matter who it is.

 

No, it’s not. The rules currently allow banned users/people without an account to be harassed.

 

Support in that case. Obviously.

I understand there's the ethical element to it. But some scammers forego that right when they commit really shitty crimes. Here's a good example.

This scammer, donated $100 to Sythe, which in turned cause people to (wrongfully) trust him, got away with 1B OSGP, that roughly equals $850-900.

People like this deserve to be exposed. You're failing to see it from the perspective of the party at loss, imagine getting hard done for $900 cash. That must hurt.

 

Because it's outside of Sythe's jurisdiction. They're not protected by the community because they're not a member of the community. It doesn't matter what your intentions are when suggesting rule reform. What matters is what will come of the new rule. Until the scenario I mentioned in an earlier post (below) is acknowledged and prevented by this proposed new rule it cannot go into effect in my opinion.

As much as everyone seems to be fighting @Milotic this is very unethical, who cares if they scammed out of site, or got banned, or aren't even a member SYTHE has rules that you are to abide for. Doxxing someone does break those rules, I don't get why people don't understand that. And also it is sad that this thread is still running IMO a mod should have looked at this and tried to find closure. @Champ @Void @Wortel @King @Panda
