[DENIED] Rule Modification For Account Sales

Hey guys, this is a very simple one which I brought up with staff before through PM, I just wanted
to make an official post.

Problem: When you create an account, after awhile Jagex will ask you to register an E-mail to use
functions on the website. One of these functions is accessing blackmarks. This is a problem because
when you're making an account to sell buyers will feel the most safe if no E-mail has ever been
registered. I hit a point where a thread of mine almost got closed because you must post a screen
capture of the blackmark page. I was allowed to keep my post up without posting the screen capture
because staff agree'd register'd E-mails even if previously registered makes people feel uneasy.

Solution: If the account doesn't need the E-mail to be registered, post the screenshot of the blackmarks
page as you normally would. IF you do need to register an E-mail, I think a screenshot of the account
page on the website, with Jagex requesting you to register an E-mail to the account should be enough.
Nobody should have to register an E-mail to account to take a screenshot of the blackmarks.

Potential Problem: People may have muted accounts without an E-mail or with offences and may
try to pull a fast one. I think this would be very rare.

Side Note: When I brought this up with staff, my post was allowed to stay and I was told
it would be brought up with other staff - so I know there is some support and that this
does make some sense

 

While getting an blackmark you'll receive message to your RuneScape inbox which is visible on login screen saying , you can't read that message as it's in account setting you can't access without having registered e-mail.

I don't know if this is 100% accurate.
I don't believe you need an E-mail registered right away to access these features?

With what you said, the rule modification would still stand.

Being able to post an account for sale without the black mark picture due to not being able to see it due to an
unregistered Email.

Currently, the blackmarks is a rule without an exception.
We need to come up with something for an exception so people like me are allowed to sell accounts without showing blackmarks.

It's still a valid argument.

 

Very invalid for people who want first ever registered email on account to be buyer's own
Seeing blackmarks in any other way than seeing "X unread messages" on login screen is inpossible without registering email so this rule will most likely never be changed.

 

See, but that is the point I am making. There is no other way to see black marks, other than to log-in to the website and have a
registered Email address. You could have the message on log-in, but it could be subscriptions for membership. Anyways, here I
am not asking for a complete entire rule change. I just believe that black marks should always be shown, with an actual legit
exception for situations like this where the account has never had a registered Email and it would be in the buyers utter most
best interest to purchase an account that has never had a registered Email.

The buyer will feel more safe, even though original owners can always recover, there are exceptions to that to. My IRL friend lost
his account because his friend was creepy enough to actually have enough information on the account built up over the years that
it became an account recovery battle, to which my friend eventually gave up on and can never get it back.

It's more of a "Black marks must be shown unless Jagex asks you to register an E-mail and you don't want to"

People could meet up in-game and find other ways to know the account isn't muted etc.
I don't think there is going to be many, if at all people who would be interested in scamming on black marks.
