The best true metal band ever in my opinon

slipknot. their music has totally revolitionized music as we know it, and i think that they might be the best band that ever occured.

i mean, their songs really have messages and their so true, i mean, they know and speak the truth, you know... their masks show the true pain within all of us.. and there music really reaches in to you're soul and makes you know thigns you wouldnt even know if oyu didnt listen to it

Chuck Schuldiner (Death, Control Denied) was one of the best true metal musicians, Iron Maiden is one of the best true metal bands, as well as bands like In Flames, Exodus, Metallica (before the Black Album) and so on. You can't say one thing is the best, but honestly, of all bands you pick Slipknot?

well, i really don't like metallica or or nirvana or that emo shit... but... ill try listening to those other bands you listed... i guess. are they new or something? I never heard of exodus or iron maiden or in flames. i try listening on myspace to new bands but i never like them that much.

they have ALOT of mesages. their music is about love, pain, despare, heartache, the war, peace, abortion, and gay marrige. You guys just need to listen to some of there underground stuff, not all that mainstream stuff they put on the radio.. i mean, cmon, do some research and you can develop musical taste in them.

 

Quoted for the truth, Maiden has some of the most in-depth songs out of many bands I have heard. It has been my favorite for a long ass time. ^_^
