How To: Build Your Own Xbox 360 Underwater Aquarium

Hello all, this is my very first guide that I have made. This guide will show you how to make your mineral oil rig. The guide is 1500+ words in a MS Word document. I can allow up to one mod to verify this for me. This is a not a money-making guide, but technically you could make profit off building this. This guide is guaranteed to work as long as instructions are followed properly.

Prior knowledge/items before preparing to start your build:
• Common tools:
1. Phillips screwdriver
2. Flathead screwdriver
3. Cordless drill
4. Dremel tool
5. Scissors/snips
• A fair amount of money: Anywhere from $200-$450 USD currency needed. (This setup is technically not a money-saving method, but I will show you how to build a cheap core setup. A working Xbox 360 on-hand will save you a handful of cash.)
• How to reset a circuit breaker/fuse box incase of power outage (this is a precaution, although we will be using a power strip with a built-in circuit breaker for our build.)
• Math skill (Addition) to add up voltages together (you can use a calculator.) Again, this is another precaution so you can have an idea of how much voltage your sucking through in your outlets.
• Know how to take your Xbox 360 apart (there are many guides on the internet that can show you how). THIS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.
• Wireless controller(s)

is there any soldering or that kind of stuff? do you list where we can buy the needed items for the build? anything that i need to know?

 

Nope, no soldering required - All plug in play. You can solder if you want to use the Xbox as a power source but it's not listed in the guide. All the items I used are listed with links.
