your max hit will still be the same, however you will have way higher specs then usual

does this work on people with high defence? because from pics it looks like hits are just on low range def bonus

 

works on any def bonus, ofcourse the def bonus does matter and the spec will have lower accuracy but it will still be higher then normal msb specs

 

would be better to use accumulator as it gives more range bonus.

Here's what I think about this thread. 99 Range hits 240-240 (maybe like 245 since the 3 digit update), without void, with MSB spec. You hit the regular hits for 99 Range, and judging by how much experience is actually gained, in between each picture, it's quite obvious that you didn't screenshot them all in a short amount of time, so I'm betting you still hit alot of bad specs. None of these pictures are the 'higher than usual' hits, as the MSB special is very accurate.

Spec Trick Guide: Switch your style to accurate when you spec as it hits higher / more accurate, your hits are not any higher than they should be.
