A safe way to send and receive money?

I just want to know some safe ways to send and receive money.

I'm almost 16 and I don't know about the restrictions of some things or anything like that so maybe you can help me out.

Paypal is a thing I will be staying away from unless obviously trusted because of chargebacks. I plan to go into buying and selling gold so it's going to be pretty key but hey, we'll see how it goes.

 

As far as sending, PayPal is alright. As long as you are buying gp with Paypal, you don't have much to worry about. Just make sure that you use a middleman if they're not trusted. Also, if your shop is on playerauctions, there is a lot more security dealing through PayPal.

Western Union is a good way to receive money, but then you have to factor in the fees that come with it. Price comes with security, and I'm positive there are no chargeback options when it comes to WU.

I would also advise you to try marketing within your local area, too. Sometimes by using craigslist, or a different local ad-listing site, you can sell for better prices and will have fewer competition. Plus, you'll be receiving cash so there's no need to worry about security.

 

Is there any age limit to use WU or Player Auctions? And I agree buying with Paypal but is there any online and efficient way to receive?

 

If you're from the US, I'd suggest MoneyPak for buying GP. It's a $5 fee and you can go to many stores and pick one up.

You should try moneybookers. Fees are lower than Paypal.

 

But you can still chargeback on Moneybookers, unfortunately.

 

Paypal is 18+ as you're entering into their contract, but the loop hole is your parents can give you access to their Paypal. As for Western Union, I believe it's 18+ since they most likely will ask for a type of ID e.g. Driver's license.

Western Union, if you're 16 you should have some sort of ID. Go with WU.

 

Okay, and is that an efficient and legal way for me to do so at the age of 16? I'd consider using it to buy with, are the fees expensive?

 

The fees get bigger the larger the amount you are sending is. There's a calculator on the WU site if you are curious as to how much your fees will be beforehand.
